  1. Doing the same sway bar myself tonight on my 13 SEL. Very excited to get it in there after comparing the sizes of the old and new one. Looking at coilover kits next after this I think to try and get her an inch, maybe 2 inches closer to the ground. I'm seeing that a lot of the cheaper sets on ebay advertise any C-Max set as compatible with the focus non-st, and vice versa, so I'd expect a stiffer focus kit to be pretty good on our heavier cars. Did the front tires last year with some continental extreme contacts, and been meaning to get the same ones on the back because every other tire rotation the front tires are useless if I accelerate too hard, but alas, I am lazy.
  2. I know that an Atkinson cycle can be accomplished a few different ways. I also know that our intake valve stays open a bit into the compression stroke to make it happen but I was wondering if anyone knew if that is accomplished using a special camshaft or if it's handled by the VVT solenoids on a more normal camshaft, or some other solution. Looking at photos of our cylinder head online it looks like there's something on the intake timing sprocket that isn't on the exhaust one but I don't know if it's the responsible component. Either way I'm hoping to try and, at least at some point in the future, revert to an Otto cycle (and retune accordingly) and hopefully squeeze a bit extra power out of it. If it's controlled by the VVT solenoid on the intake side it might be really simple to just lock it in a position where it'll get the most air into the cylinder and close for the whole compression stroke. If I need a new camshaft for it then so be it. Just figure when I don't need this car as a daily driver it would be fun to try and make it a semi-capable, if slightly underpowered and large, track car. If no one here knows then I might find myself with a removed valve cover tryna figure this out.
  3. Okay so there's a series of test modes in the Cmax Hybrid I've discovered from browsing here and experimenting on my own, but none of them seem to accomplish what I'm looking for. What I have found is the basic engineering test mode where you hold the left OK button on the steering wheel down when you start the car and hold it until the menu pops up on the left display, and a couple of engine test modes. From what I can tell there are 3 engine test modes you activate the exact same way but using 3 different gears in the gear selector.
