  1. I'd been having problems getting the Cmax to notify me and read text messages from my iPhone. After applying the 3.5.1 update to the car and the 6.1.3 update to the iPhone, I finally have the feature working. I got there by loosely following these instructions .. note, the part about stopping the car, opening the door, and restarting was essential to get the iphone bluetooth sync setting to have the "show notifications" menu item. Also note, this does not mean you can use the car to send texts, only get them. While Siri does a better job of both sending and getting messages, the one use I see for going through this is, when the iPhone is connected via bluetooth, my alert sounds are not heard (unless I'm doing bluetooth audio streaming). http://support.ford.com/sync-technology/how-to-allow-ios-text-messaging-sync-myford-touch#reloadhttp://support.ford.com/sync-technology/how-to-allow-ios-text-messaging-sync-myford-touch#reload
