Heat Wave

Got up to 110F and higher here today in PNW.

Got in my C-max and radio wouldn't turn on.  Drove to store and radio worked normally for the trip home.

I guess since the windows were closed and the sun was shining in, it was too hot.

If I lived in AZ I would have to get this fixed.

I live in California and I've had this problem too - during the summer, if it's more than maybe 85 out and I don't put up the sun shades - even for just a quick 15 trip popping in a store - I have no audio system until I let it cool down. It's irritating, but not irritating enough to deal with trying to get it looked at.

Just to satisfy my curiosity and the fact this has never happened to me, exactly what happens in these cases? Is the touch screen still there and just no audio? Is the touch screen completely out and then boots up normally (Ford logo and all) when it cools down enough? What exactly are the symptoms? I'm guessing there's no clear 'No audio while overheating' message on screen.
