K michelle Posted February 20 Report Share Posted February 20 2018 Ford CMax hybrid … replaced all 4 ignition coils, spark plugs, all 4 engine igniters, air filter, pcv valve(pain in the ass.. its located behind the manifold), O rings… check engine light returns faithfully every 2 weeks following each replacement of parts.. I've used it in my Fords (from the Focus ZTW to my Ford C-Maxs) to avoid check engine codes. Cheap and doesn't hurt anything so why not try? nogoodbum Posted February 24 Report Share Posted February 24 Hello, welcome to the forum. After reading your post, i assume that your have read the codes & they are misfire related. You appear to have attacked the problem on the ignition & air as the source of the codes. [I am unsure what you call the engine igniters]. You may need to look at the fuel-related part of the equation. The C-Max seems to throw codes more quickly than most other cars I have owned, [may be my mis-info, no verified stats]. You may help the problem by using a good fuel injector cleaner for a couple of tanks of gas & on a recurring basis if this helps. Thanks for the read.
