We are all owner posters here. However, I wanted to point out that 2 posters have contributed a lot to our discussions and forum and yet neither of them owned a CMax...so I thought it would be appropriate to acknowledge them and welcome them both into our CMax family here on fordcmaxhybridforum.com...and no, I do not own or have shares here...jus a wee moderator :victory:

salsaguy & hybridbear - honorary CMax family members

Hybridbear - he's contributed a lot to and the guy doesn't even own a CMax - jus a FFH ...well I guess its close cause his parents own an Energi. If you find an ole Ford Social video discussion, hes one of the lucky guys who got to talk to the main Ford Engineer and asked some pretty pertinent discussion...you have to go back to nearly Jan for that one.

Salsaguy is jus salsaguy....he's always welcome to QA the darn posts here...lol. Lots of interesting insights and contributions...one day he'll steal his wifeys car for 3 weeks and post up his own 800 tank.

:congrats:  to you both and lets all give them both a warm welcome to our family :)

Jus, thanks alot for this great honor.

on behalf of the academy I'd like to thank....... (woops wrong acceptance speech papers, errrr humpf....)

no really i appreciate you all welcoming me into your beautiful family and not treating me as an outsider (as im sure it would be the case in the other camp).

if you all weren't so great i wouldn't feel so comfortable and wouldn't want to spend many VERY late nights (against my wifes wishes) reading all the great info about this cool car and adding my 2 cents worth.

wow has it really been 800 posts by me now !!!!###

and we have to thank Jus and all the other mods for keeping it a great place. it's a thankless job for sure as i know as i used to run my own BBS (bulletin board system back in the days before there was the internet and forums like this) and also hosted and moderated several discussion groups during that time. flame wars are very hard to prevent but thankfully they have not reared their ugly head here because of the great mods and users here.

it's my pleasure to be part of this family. my wife and i are looking forward to actually officially joining the club one day soon...and maybe meet some of you down the road. [Jus owes me one for flaking out for the Ford event]   :)

thanks again.

congrats to hybrid bear as well. at least his folks have a hybrid.

I'm a hybrid virgin for sure :)

well just wait till i tell you the story of what happened at the Ford Eco Boost challenge event.......

Funny enuf, I am a hybrid virgin too....I don't think I did too badly in that department. You'll be scary good in the TDI :stirpot: .

Yeah salsa...you do some really LATE POST...ala Jus ;)

C'mon man....I had a choice to sweat in the CMax hypermile game or enjoy the beautiful Angeles National Golf Course with my boss and mates and beer and cute drink cart chicks...and smash the balls...and lose the balls...and find more prov1 balls with the rattlesnakes.... :spend:

:)

I'm sure you had a great golfing day. i wish i could join you in a round someday.still a long way to go in my recovery after surgery and haven't played in a long time. i miss it though. my grandpa taught me back in my college days. was good at the shorter executive par 3  & 4 courses (Arroyo Seco, etc) . didn't like the full sized 18 hole courses as my driver/long irons weren't as good.

you didn't miss much at the Ford event esp if you didn't plan on driving the speed cars (focus st and fiesta st)

Did u end up posting an update to it? I may have missed it....

Never played Arroyo Seco. Played everywhere around the SF valley, occassionally heading down to Simi Hill but thats now expensive. I don't like to pay too much for the green fees, its a bad enuf rip off on the weekends as it is. Unfortunately...thats now my only play time with a 9-5 job. Yeah...driving a stick would be fun on the left hand drive vehicle. My last stick shift was a right hand drive....
