mtb9153
I went to my dealer to show them that the fitment of the black rubber door seal for the tailgate was not covering the edge of the headliner across the middle top area. The dealer decided the headliner was cut too short so it would not stay under the rubber seal. They submitted pictures of the problem area to Ford and it has been determined that my headliner will be replaced under warranty. Liner has been ordered and I will get a call to bring in Maxus when it arrives. For a year I didn't even notice this until I happened to pay closer attention while loading groceries. Everyone might want to check yours closely for fitment of the headliner behind the rubber tailgate seal.

1acyd
There's a recall on the headliner anyway, so make sure to mention that to them so they can install the recall parts when they do this work. It's something to do with it not absorbing enough force in crash tests and they add an extra pad above the passenger cabin in the front. Chinto
I had my C Max in for the headliner recall repair last week. I had noticed that the headliner edge was falling out around the overhead console where the sunglasses fit. I have had my C Max a little over a year now and the headliner has just now showed this defect.. The service manager said that he would make sure that it would fit properly after the recall repair was performed. Well it turns out that the headliner was trimmed to short around the overhead console, according to the dealer service manager, and will need to be replaced. He said that he submitted photos of the defect to Ford for approval of the replaced headliner and would call when the headliner is in stock. He also said it could take as much as two days to do the job. He did say that he would provide a loaner for this repair. So check around your overhead console and look for the headliner edge coming out from under the overhead console. The dealer will fix it. My C Max is a July 2012 build. Spitinuri
I just noticed my headliner was starting to fall down all along the front. When I put my hand there to check there was a definite gap. I guess its time to get it fixed.
