KAC
Hi folks! I picked up my CMAX (SEL) last week after the dealer installed the remote start. It worked for several days but then stopped. Its very cold here in Ohio. Is that the reason? Anyone else out there experience this and have a fix?
KAC
In case anyone else has this issue, please check your remote-start owners manual. How-to videos and the dealer state to press the remote button twice within 3 seconds of each other (doors must be locked). That is incorrect, at least for the remote I have. You have to press once but hold it for 5-6 seconds. It then starts as all other documentation references. It works perfectly now even from my 3rd floor window at work. Perfect timing for this years extra cold temperatures in Ohio.
Adair
Yes, that's how mine works. Hold the button for about 5 seconds. Lights come on and horn honks when it's started. I've used it several times this week here in MI. Boy, was I grateful for it!
