Post Your Life Time MPG's, Total Miles, EV miles, Regen miles and Brake Score. Should be able to graph info and come up with some useful information.

 

Here are my two Data points:

 

Brake = Brake Score

EV = EV miles

Regen = Regen miles

Total = Total miles

Are you sure that you have included all our your regen miles?  When I had update 13B07 done in July 2013, my lifetime regen miles counter got reset from 825 regen miles back to 0. 

 

Right now I have 30952 total miles, 92% lifetime brake score and 1531 (on the counter now) + 825 (on the counter before 13B07) = 2356 lifetime regen miles.

 

You have 65,000+ total miles, 98% brake score and only 2038.1 regen miles.  You have posted about several very long highway trips, but I would expect that you would have more regen miles over 65,000+ miles than I have over 30,000+ miles.

You are right, unfortunately I didn't get a LifeTime pic at that time they did the update so I guessed with my last LT pic in Feb 2013 with 525mi Regen and Sept. 1, 2013  117.6mi Regen mi. so I think I had 875mi. which added to my current rounded off to 2900mi. :)  FORD hasn't made it easy to figure out with 2014 don't even have LifeTime. :drop: At least we have a start.

Paul, I recall asking you about your regen miles in another thread.  Also, if you want to do any meaningful analysis one needs to make sure the total mileage is at the mileage from the PCM update not the odometer total mileage or last manual reset of the lifetime summary whichever is later.  My lifetime summary was reset at the PCM update in July 29, 2013 with 8108 miles on the car (shown on the Dealer Service Order).  Currently, I have 27372 miles on the car.  So my data is as follows from July 29, 2013: 

 

Total Miles since PCM udpate: 19,264

EV Miles: 9,389.6

EV% of Total: 48.7%

Regen Miles: 828.5

MPG: 41.2

Brake Score: 92

 

My thoughts on trying to compare / analyze the data:

 

1) one significant piece of data not available is average speed (preferably average moving speed).

 

2) climatic conditions will affect the data, one may want to separate the data by geographic region as a start

 

3) regen miles is supposedly all regenerative energy including braking and coasting somehow converted to miles.  Brake Score supposedly is the % of actual energy captured over the available energy that could be captured presumably by braking to a complete stop.   Given the relatively small % of regen miles vs total miles and that braking regen is a part of the regen miles, I would expect a few tents of a mpg difference for brake scores between say 86 - 98 vs my actual FE with a brake score of 92. 

 

4) there are other data like driving style, mods, terrain and average distance per trip and so forth that will affect results.

You have some good  information there.  I checked my numbers and the only thing reset was Regen miles. Apparently the Technician had options on what to reset.Regen only appears to have a significant effect on mileage if you are in stop and go or city driving all the time. The technician didn't choose, the software programming sent by Ford engineers chose what to reset. Because of this fact I reset my Lifetime at the time of doing the PCM update. I'm curious to see what you find out for data for this!

I was hoping there would be more participation so we good get some useful info about our CMAX's.  I guess now our cars are only EPA rated at 43city, 37Hwy and 40mpg combined and most members are doing that so MPG's aren't that important. So as long as FORD doesn't find out that I'm averaging 52mpg :shift:  I should still get my check. LOL :lol: :lol2:

I will post mine after I'm in the car again, but ballpark is 40.8 mpg (winter in NE PA was not kind, my wife does NOT drive it like a hybrid when I'm not in the car). Almost 23,000 miles, of which almost 12,000 are EV. I try to hypermile when I can, but my work commute is about 2 miles one way which doesn't help.

 

Also, the 2nd day I got it last July, we followed an ambulance for about 130 miles at almost 85 mph due to an emergency with a family member, which I'm sure didn't help the break in. (She is fine now).

 

It was about 42,3 before the winter, since it started warming up in April it's come up from 37.6. My last tank was 46.7, would have been higher, but my wife took it on a trip with the kids.

I will add them to my when you get all the numbers, Thanks.    Did you install Grill Covers and Oil Pan heater? It's worth 4-5mpg in winter and 2mpg during the summer. :)
