Chris Chassey
I have identified this before to the forums and to two separate dealers without any satisfaction. The passenger dash/door panels have a HUGE gap and the top of the dash has a large uneven transition when compared to other C-Max's and to the drivers side. See attached pictures. Does anyone else have this issue, what have you done about it, what has your dealer or Ford done about it. Any assistance is appreciated. wab
Ford has never been known for their fit and finish! Our 13 CMAX against our 08 MKX is like a BMW against a Fiat, the Lincoln was that bad!!! Ours seems to be a little better than yours, BUT I'M not going to brag about it.
Marc Smith
Mine also has some large gaps... but when I look at the the way the car is built, it looks like they are intentional large gaps. I'll get some pics of mine later
Arthur
I had a couple, hit them with the hand and it solved the problem!
Marc Smith
...........drivers side is perfect. passenger side not so much...it almost like it was designed to have a gap...

Our CMax replaced our 2005 Lincoln LS - that thing was awesome for fit/finish/squeaks when it was new, and it was still perfect 8 years later. Our CMax is OK for interior quality, fit and finish, but already much more squeeky/rattly than the Lincoln or my 2012 Buick LaCrosse Edited August 11, 2014 by BIG ROCCO
drdiesel1
I just went out and looked at my 2014 Energi and it's the same. Tighter on the leftthan the right, but not really something to worry about, IMO :hat_tip: This can be an offset to get the dash installed onto the carrier. If all these are like this, it'swhat I consider to be normal. If it was only a few it could be considered abnormal, but it's not :shift:
vmmvmmm
Just adding my observations, I see the same thing in my car, wider gap on the passenger side. I would agree that this seems to be normal - I actually asked the dealership to look into it on my first check and they said everything is as it should be. dmk2000
Strangely enough gaps on the right side almost the same as on the left in our 2013 SEL.Panel looks centered.
