Bill-N
This today from OASIS: Jun 23 2015 6639 - 2012-2016 Multiple Vehicles - Windshield Cleaning Procedures Some 2012-2016 vehicles may exhibit windshield contamination from car wash chemicals and environmental fallout such as tree sap, chemicals, wax or bugs. This contamination can appear to be a defect in glass and can occur on the exterior or interior surface of the windshield. Glass replacement is not necessary for these conditions. Owner Guides are in process of being updated with the following windshield cleaning procedures. Clean the windshield with a non-abrasive glass cleaner. When cleaning the interior of the windshield, avoid getting any glass cleaner on the instrument panel or door panels. Wipe any glass cleaner off these surfaces immediately. If contamination still exists use steel wool (no greater than 0000 grade to avoid scratching) in a circular motion and rinse with water. Degrandbob
Will distilled white vinegar harm my paint in my effort to remove some bug splatter on my front bumper and grill? I would quickly rinse it with water once the bugs are removed...and then will apply 3m cleaner/wax....followed by Carnuba wax!
ptjones
You should be fine if you do it quickly. Paul
