Welcome to the club

Not sure  that Ford C-max wheels are high on the theft list.  All of they"security wheel lugs"  I've ever had  some how the security lug  ends up going missing  and its always a PITA to get the wheel off.

and as far as flat tires.  I can count on one hand over the last 20 years that I've needed a spare tire and jack.

IMO  the trunk space is more important, to me...  But I think our bolt pattern is the same as the focus.  so getting a space save spare and jack assembly from a junkyard should be pretty easy.

that being said.  I think ford could have lowered the rear floor  for the batteries and put the spare tire above the batteries...  But that probably would have resulted in major redesigns of the rear area.  Which would have jacked the price a bit.  or instead of a spar tire.... more batteries

Welcome!

For spares, the standard Ford 15" mini-spare fits, and there are a lot of jack options. Check junk yards...

Floor mats also have options, even within a brand; I have Weather Tech mats, the kind that keeps you out of the melted snow, but doesn't protect the carpet as well. You may not care about snow....

And then there's the mileage stuff... many of us

- have tire pressure close to sidewall rating of 51 psi

- have blocked off one or all of the front grills

- have tried one of many aero mods that promise improvement, but don't deliver. The first two deliver real improvements in fuel economy, if that's your thing.

Look around; lots of good stuff here!

Have fun,

Frank

nethunter, welcome.

It's your peace of mind as to whether you get a spare, jack, and security lug nuts as only you can weigh the cost / benefit of such.  I take the security nuts off on my vehicles that came equipped with them for ease of servicing my brakes and rotating tires.

In about 1.5 million miles of driving, I've needed and used the jack and spare tire one time on a rainy, cold night when I hit a large pothole which blew out the sidewall on a tire on my 1979 Honda Accord.  I do get nails / screws in my tires quite often.  So you may want to look at FORScan and an ELM327 adapter (around $30) to monitor tire pressure as IMO the likelihood of needing a spare is very small while detecting slow leaks and maintaining pressure is ongoing.  It's nice to look at my smartphone and monitor tire pressure with FORScan rather than with a gauge. ;)
