Anyone else feel like a beta tester? Just got the letter for this in the mail today. I am happy Ford is willing to correct these issues, but not happy about having to take it in every 2 months. Closing in on 9000 miles, so might roll this and the 10000 mile service into one visit as well. Still love my C-Max!

I see a dramatic difference in mpg using ethanol free. On tank of normal gas I am lucky to ever break 44.5 mpg. Once I am near fumes I refill with ethanol free and I am consistently between 47.5 and 52 mpg. I have gone back and forth to make sure its not a fluke. :D

Waiting patiently for my check. But I must admit my mileage rarely dips below 47. Since the update it's been pretty good.but I really need that money!

I dropped by my dealership and showed them this SSM and they agreed it was worth a look. Brought It in the next day and they were able to troubleshoot it per the specified section of the manual. The compressor was ridiculously loud that day and they found a small black valve that was cracked and leaking. Unfortunately they've had to order the part and I'm driving around with the cracked one til they call. :(

I have this noise. I had asked them to check it when they did my updates and headliner. They apparently did not, and I was so happy to have the car back I forgot all about it. Until the next time I heard it. Is this also why the ac just doesn't seem as cold as it could be?

The tire inflation/repair kit in the fancy schmancy bag under the passenger seat.

They kept it overnight so they told me I get a loaner, so I got a I got a 2013 Nissan Maxima. Very roomy. Big. Clunky. Steering felt like it was wound too tight or something. Was like maneuvering a tank in comparison. Only 24.6 mpg too.

89 because thats the only one I can get ethanol free around here.

At my Ford dealer there were 3 C-Maxs on the lot, the dark grey, dark red and the Ice Storm. It just seemed to glow for me and there was no other car on the lot like it. And yes it shines no matter how dirty it is.

Got both letters in the mail today when I got back from having both things done. So nice to be ahead of the game for once. Anyhow.... for comparison pre-update a round trip from home to Johnson city (take this drive about every 3 days or so) about 60 miles, about 15 of that EV, never more than about 41.6 mpg. Took the same drive today. 47.3 mpg and 32.6 EV. I am a happy girl.

Took my car in for oil change yesterday and they told me about update. But the gas gauge was yellow and they said the car would need to be running for about 2 hours to apply it. So I brought it back in today. THEN they told me if I wanted to leave it with them til tomorrow they could get the headliner taken care of as well. So now im driving a brand new Nissan Maxima. But its huge and too noisy for my liking. Lol

2 days ago I saw an Ice Storm like mine and today a Sterling. i wondered if the people in the Ice Storm were pointing and craning their neck too. I see a Prius,on average during a 30 mile trip, every 30 seconds or so. They are just everywhere.

I may have seen ONE C-Max in the last 3 weeks. But when driving and something passes by I can never tell for sure if I'm seeing a C-Max or a Focus. Most times it's a focus. I see tons of Priuses, so I know Hybrids are in demand here, but the C-Max just isn't breaking through yet.

I am in Greeneville. Tiny place somewhere between Bristol and Knoxville. :)
