  1. Not sure off-hand, I'll have to look. I don't actually like the way it functions. If you use either keyfob to lock, then you HAVE to unlock with keyfob, or else the alarm goes off when you open the door using the keyless entry feature. Also, the aftermarket keyfob is kind of crappy.
  2. Yeah, it's annoying. They should have made it a prompt that then plays more info.
  3. Considering the ETM doesn't match the speedometer, I'm immediately suspicious of any other data output by the car.
  4. I was checking out the engineering test mode (etm) and found that the readout from the ETM was about 3mph lower than what the needle was reading. Anyone else notice this?
  5. Have you noticed a difference when the car is in EV+ mode? I feel like there is a significant difference between EV+ and EV in regards to the amount of power delivered to the wheels.
  6. I didn't know that they had a digital outlet. My wife got me a subscription to the magazine.
  7. Mine only shows the GPS coordinates; no elevation. :( edit: I also noticed this when I went into the diagnostic menus of the MFT - it didn't report an elevation.
  8. Kind of related to this - how accurate do you think the car can measure how much fuel has been burned?
  9. I didn't re-read this whole thread, but did someone mention that they have altitude with this update? I haven't found any place that shows it.
  10. I made the mistake of using only brake while going down a mountain grade and I stopped for a break and I could smell the brakes - they were HOT. At the same time, I don't like using the downhill descent control. I feel like it uses way too much regen/transmission braking. It was almost maxed out.
  11. So basically, the car FE meter doesn't account for the fact that the gas motor is propelling the car AND charging the battery; I didn't even think about that. Thanks for explaining more of the process, I enjoyed getting into the technical details, Plus 3.
  12. I'm interested in this result. I, too, have a long commute with a lot of 75+ speeds.
  13. So if engines are more efficient under load, then shouldn't we be seeing > 20mpg while the engine is running and charging the battery?
  14. I've noticed that I almost always get super low FE while using the gas motor unless I'm over 55-60. If I'm cruising on flat ground at 45, the MPG meter shows ~20. I would expect it to be higher - is this normal?
  15. Sounds like a dealer issue now - unless you have the previous installation files for 3.5?
  16. Before 3.6, my presets were slow and buggy. They are now fairly fast and not so terrible. Maybe you should try a re-install?
  17. Probably an inconvenience depending on how you manage your books, but you should be able to import the books into iTunes and sync it with your iPod and listen to them through there.
  18. Jmonty, when are you getting the update?
  19. Jus, It's on the same screen as 'Sync Services' at the bottom. It's called "Where am I"?
  20. I didn't check the Nav favorites, but I would guess that it does. I didn't see any new features, but the whole system is much more responsive and quick. Two places I really noticed it were on the screen that shows power flow between each component (the animated dotted lines are much smoother), and on the Entertainment screens. Before, switching between inputs lagged and such. Now, it doesn't.
  21. Here's a Prius transmission simulator I found not too long ago. I assume that this is similar to the CMax. http://eahart.com/prius/psd/
  22. I have version 25 installed. The dialog box pops up that says "Downloading", but then immediately generates an error box
  23. I can't get the software to download using Chrome, FF, Safari [all on mac], nor IE on Windows 7 running on a virtual machine.
  24. What's the link for downloading?
