In today's modern age, u would think these maps would be free to download. Even Garmin maps are now hacked. My car arrives next week here in Argentina. There are no maps from Ford, garmin compatible maps are free down here, but alas, they don't work in our system. Wish there was a way to know who exactly provides the map data and know the comparability of our system....

It would be nice if one of the Energi members would try Grill Covers to see how much of a difference it would make in MPG's. :)
Paul
I would try them, however my car is going to texas to sit at dad's house for a month, and then on the boat to Argentina for 3 years. Pm me the details, I may get them and try them out while down south.

I have a very consistent case of brakes grabbing just before I stop. I believe it's condensation-related as it only happens when the car is cold and it's either raining or misty. It seems as if the rotors are below ambient temperature, so they condense water vapor. When braking for a high regen score, you're not using the mechanical brakes. Eventually the car comes to a stop, and without motion, there is no regen, so how does the car remain stopped?
Brakes.
I think I'm sensing the moment when regen braking transitions to mechanical brakes at rest, as I can still get a 100% score, but it's darn hard to stop smoothly. Once the rotors warm up, the grabbing is gone.
Anyone else seeing that?
HAve fun,
Frank
Yep, I am seeing that on my energi.

It's about the advertising. If you make a product and a claim, you need to add what the requirements are. I.e. 47mpg, BUT must be trained hybrid driver. Most people buy a car and expect to get what is advertised. I love my energi, but am only gettin 34 mpg ...that goes up when I have a charged battery, but I can get into a Prius and drve 50 mpg without breaking a sweat...
So 34 mpg??? Am chalking it up to cold weather right now, have only had the car 3 weeks, bought second hand with 4k on the clock...so we shall see.

While not a normal cmax, I recently drove my energi from Alanta where I picked it up (during last weekends winter storm) and drove back to DC in mostly torrential rain and wind the whole trip in hybrid mode only. 694 miles, average was 35 mpg, heater, defroster, lights, wipers and average speed was 65 mph, where weather permitted 70-75 mph. Not great, but not bad considering the circumstances.

A Fiat X-1/9 and then a Fiat 132S. After a year of driving it, I bought a 1976 Ford Mustang Cobra 2 and and after that a 1982 Indy 500 Camero pace car (Still miss that car)

So if you take the car out of the country, how do you get a nav update for the new country your in? I am planning on buying but will take the car next year out of country.

Interesting. I went to ford website to build my cmax energi and get xplan quote with candy blue 303a plan and it came out at 32350.00
But asked dealer for xplan price on same car and it jumped to 33980.00. While still a good deal I am curious why such a large price difference in xplan pricing. Sent a screen shot to dealer and he replied he can't take any orders due to recall? So now I can't order either.
Name one like and dislike with your C-Max?

Like : 25 miles on the battery.
Dislike: that's it's not 40 miles+ on the battery and that it does't come with a portable L1/L2 system.
