Working of 700mi tank I think I'm going to come up short 10 mi., I wished I had Top Offed, currently 680 mi. and 13gal on smart gauge. I do have 2gal can in back so I will probably run out before 700mi.

I have had this happen twice with me slamming on the brakes and then rapid acceleration. Paul

I have put in almost 14gal when I ran out of gas. The smart gauge said 12.98gal. I will probably find out again in the next couple of days trying to reach 700mi. I have gone more than 20mi. past empty. Paul

I'm curious about your GAS Pods whether you saw any improvement in MPG's ? I would be interested trying them out. I have been using my Grill Covers for about 8 months with about 2mpg improvement on HWY speeds (50+) i just put on carpet protector tape over my Fog Lights and thinking putting over my wheels too. Paul

Actually I topped off to get max range on that tank.

Did you check MyView RPM's to see how fast the ICE was going? Should be less than 2000rpm's on the level. I'm assuming you were going less than 70mph. Paul

Got headliner fix done yesterday and was surprised to see at least 6 or so CMAX's in service area. SA said they were one of four Dealers that were getting CMAX rentals from Budget Rent a Car to upgrade. This would imply they have 80 CMAX's in the Atlanta Area.

Interesting that it took you 6hrs longer to go the same distance that I went which works out to about 7mph slower I think. 30 vs 23mph interesting

I use actual miles and gal. on Fuelly. My odometer was off by .015% which makes a real difference. Plus Smart Gauge is rarely right on gals. also mileage goes down in winter but your temps don't as much as they do here. Check your actual mi. with GPS and I use actual gal on Fuelly. Paul

I would like to see the advance cruise control system the Fusion and Explorer have. It makes drafting easy.

If you click on my Fuelly Icon it will take you my Fuelly post. I only top off if I think there is a possibly of getting a new record. topping off gains anywhere from .1 to .5gal at the most.

It looks like I can stuff about 14gal in my tank and our tanks may very a little bit in capacity. I have seen many times that the smart gauge has been off by as much as1 gal. Paul

I have had 4 actual tanks of 13.85 to 13.96gal and I don't think the smart gauge has been higher than 12.9gal. I only ran out once. Not a problem, it started right up when I put gas in it. I need to post my iphone pic of my latest record 668.1mi (678.1 actual) 425.4EV, 51.7mpg(50.5actual) and 12.9gal (13.5gal actual). IMO so far the new update hasn't made much of a difference in HWY MPG's and I think I lose about 2mpg with A/C on.

EPA hwy is 60MPH which is possible to get 47mpg. I don't have enough miles with the up date to say for sure that it has made a difference, but will be putting on some serious mileage soon and see if I can get into the 700mi club. Paul

I now have 33K mi and have life time average of 45mi/gal on smart gauge, driving in bad weather all over the country. It all comes down to how you drive it, like a Hybrid or not Colder climates don't do as well but I still would get at least 42-45mpg driving your CMAX in your temps. IMO

My wife changed her mind and we are back together and putting our lives back together. So I should have more time to do more testing. I will be doing a few long distance trips soon. Good to be back Thanks. Paul

I got upgrade installed today and was able to get 86mph in EV with GPS. At those speeds you can see the battery discharging, I doubt you could go a mile with full battery. It seems like it goes into EV faster at those speeds. FYI I have 16 600+ mile tanks and working on 17th. The best I can hope for with mostly HWY driving is 650mi/tank. I currently have about 32K on CMAX. BTW I never take covers off. Paul

How fast were you going, you averaged 25mph.
