  1. I wonder if the collision avoidance radar pick up Deer? :headscratch:  My wife's Explorer has it. Paul
  2. I thought I would also respond, second set of Michelin's with 50K mi. and 5/32" of tread on dry conditions. :) :shift: Paul
  3. I wonder if you have some kind of short in the system. I wish I knew how to charge the HVB, I would do it all time. Then it would be a kind of an Energi! ;) If the HVB voltage is to low you can't start the ICE. :drop: Paul
  4. Just a reminder to put Grill Covers on now that it is getting cold. High 30's this morning in Atlanta Area. :) Paul
  5. Just a reminder if you don't have Grill Covers on your car it is time to do it now that it's getting cold. :) It will lessen the MPG hit this winter. :shift: Paul
  6. ScanGauge II Transmission Fluid Temp Codes are: TXD: 07E6221E1C RXF: 0462051E061C RXD: 3010 MTH: 000900500020 NAM: TFT :) Paul
  7. I have been thinking about why my FE has gone up 2mpg on the HWY and the only thing that is different is I added the NOS Octane Booster racing formula and it claims to clean injectors. A year and a half ago I used Chevron Techtron injector cleaner so I guess it's been 50K mi. approx. since I've cleaned the injectors. Strangely enough my City FE hasn't improved noticeably. ;) PS: Just checked and Winter Blend gas get less MPG's than Summer. :drop: Paul
  8. I'm guessing that FORD wanted to improve acceleration with the additional 300lbs of weight. Odometer might be off too. :shift: :) Paul
  9. Great Answer! But you got me thinking, what if you put a Hybrid Trans in an NRG, would that improve the FE? :headscratch: :) Paul
  10. +1 I also agree and the Trans Pump is a bolt on part, so in theory you bolt the Trans Pump on a Hybrid. :) Paul
  11. There doesn't seem to be any difference other than maybe gear ratio. We are not sure on that. Change fluid at 150K miles. :) Paul
  12. Just occurred to me that I should mention that I have 50PSI in my tires. :drop: :) Paul
  13. Thanks Guys. :) Deer are everywhere here in North Georgia, you have to stay aware all the time day or night. I'm still blown away by how quick MADMAX stopped. :drop: Paul
  14. This afternoon wife and I were talking about our shoulder belt shoulders are a little sore. Apparently we took a pretty good shot from hitting the shoulder belts. ;) Paul
  15. Well last night I almost hit a deer going about 30mph. It ran in front of me and my wife, we had our seat belts on thank goodness, maybe at most 15 feet in front of us and I instinctively slammed on the brakes. We stopped instantly, things in back of the car came flying to the front of the car. I didn't think MADMAX could stop that fast. I thought for sure we were going to hit the Deer, it wasn't more than a foot away by then. I had two 1"x6"x7' boards sitting on arm rest that came flying forward and hit my arm and hand, minor wounds, no damage to the car. LOL I keep change, tire gauge, flash light, misc. tubes of neosporin, after bite and lotion in the tray on the floor well between seat and door which were launched into my foot well. MADMAX,Wife and Deer were uninjured. :yahoo: Two years ago I did hit a Deer which cost $8K to fix MADMAX. It almost happened again. :drop: Thank goodness for Great Brakes. :) Paul
  16. I really don't know of any car I would want to replace it with. ;) Probably keep it until it's not worth fixing, maybe 200-300K mi. :shift: :) Paul
  17. Why don't you contact our FORD Service Rep Crystal. If you are still having problems she can help you. :) Paul
  18. I thought Brittany was for FORD Canada. I have seen several members thank our FORD Service people for their help solving problems, We are lucky to have them. Thanks Again. :) Paul
  19. We need the OP to supply more info to be able to do much from here. ;) Paul
  20. WOW! You have high mileage CMAX like me(114K). I know it happens when you run out of gas, LOL. Did you try to restart it? Sometimes shutting down and restarting will solve a computer problem. ;) Did you extend your warranty? Paul
  21. Here's a pic of Positive and Negative terminals under hood with the gray long bolt being the negative terminal next to large black cable with yellow strip. You can use alligator clips to connect to posts. :) Paul

  23. I believe everyone that is charging they're 12v battery is doing it at the batt. posts in the trunk, under the cover. Here is a Pic. :) Paul
  24. You are probably right, LOL. I hope I have the Warranty Loan paid off before I run out of coverage. LOL ;) I guess I will have to start a savings account for work to be done on MADMAX in the future. ;) I could have the car for 200-300K mi., we will see. :) Paul
  25. I have 2013 SEL, personally wouldn't get an SE. From a functionality stand point 2013 has the best Smart Gauge, they dumb down the 14's and newer ones. Make sure you have a warranty for the time you own the car, that way you don't have to worry about it. I have 113K on mine and I have a warranty to 132k mi. :) Paul
