Marlidog "The battery charge now occurs when I would say "coasting" meaning not accelerating at any speed. It also occurs at the time of braking as it used to. It has not ever reached full charge ever as yet while the other car a full charge occurred regularly." This is confusing to me. The only way the HVB is charged is by the ICE running, Regen braking and Regen coasting in Drive, It is extremely difficult to fully charge up HVB. The only way to charge the HVB full for all 2013-17 CMAX's is to have a long down hill decent. A 2-3 year old HVB has less capacity then new one so it would fill up quicker. It should be rare that you fill up the HVB, I don't think I have ever filled up the HVB coming down West Bound I-40 into Albuquerque so I'm curious how you are doing it. :headscratch: BTW I had my Trans replaced at RICH FORD. :)
When I drove the 2017 CMAX I started out with ECO Mode and immediately reminded me of driving a Prius so I turned it off. Using my EV to 15 mph, then accelerate at 2 Bars to 5 mph over cruise speed, then go into EV I believe is the best method to get the best MPG's from my experience. :) I drove the 2017 in the rain, 55*F OT and 46.3 mpg so you factor in 2 mpg for rain and 3 mpg for 15*F below 70*F for standard comparison temperature I get 51.3 mpg which is very good. :)
