A little smoother on the ride. I don't notice much change in the steering. After two weeks it is hard to remember exactly what the steering was like. Yes I think $4895 was reasonable. The best dealer trade was 2K.

I have the LTD. So far I have put about 3K miles on it. I am averaging 54mpg at normal highway speeds (almost all highway miles). The seats are comfortable. Depending on what you like they may be more comforatble than the C-Max. Apple Car Play and Android Auto come standard. These are huge improvements over Ford and Microsoft early sync technology. BlueLink is a feature offered on the car and free for the first 36 months. You can remotely start, stop, lock, unlock, etc. from your phone. No line of sight needed. This is perfect for hot days and you want a cool car or the opposite. Handling is comperable to the C-max. It takes corners very well. The turning radius is much tighter. I do like that it has a 6 speed transmission vs the CVT on the C-Max. You have a sport mode with quicker acceleration and the ability to shift manually (paddle shifting). The rear seats do not fold completely flat. If you like the auto rear hatch this is not an option in the Ioniq. There is a little lift over to get in the trunk/boot area (with the seats up the area is larger than the C-Max). The fuel gauge it doesn't show fuel remaining in gallons or how much was used. So if you are trying to squeeze the last miles in before fill up it makes it a little more difficult. Overall I give it a huge thumbs up. This is the first car that I have found I would have changed from the C-Max for.

Car finally sold. $4895. I did not get any calls until I broke the 5K level. Still it is hard to complain. I did have 241K miles on it.

Reposted $5750. Purchased a Hyundai Ioniq Limited

Now $5295. I have this car listed on Craigslist in Columbia, MO. I have taken excellent care of this car and it is near perfect inside and outside. Tires 80% remaining. Recent alignment. New plugs, wiper blades, cabin and air filters. The car still drives perfect and recently I achieved a 600 mile tank of gas averaging 48 mpg. My driving is all highway. The price reflect the high mileage. Below is a link to my Craigslist post. https://columbiamo.craigslist.org/cto/d/hybrid-2013-ford-max-sel/6601450370.html

240K miles and still capable of a 600 mile tank of gas. -
When I purchased my C-Max in 2013 I decided to see if I could get 600 miles on a tank of gas. I did it. That was my last 600 mile tank of gas. At that time my car had 20K miles on it. Now I am approaching 240K miles. Can it still get 600 miles on a tank of gas? I should know tomorrow. Right now I am at 9.46 gallons used with 460 miles completed. The average mpg so far this tank is 48.4. These are all highway miles. I am driving about 57-58 mph on average. I also have a full load in the car. Tire pressure is 50psi front and 48psi rear. 0W20 oil. Tires are non low rolling resistance. It may be my last tank in this car period as I am planning to trade.

Right at 239.5K. My MPG's are back up to around 40 with normal driving. I can get 47 with a little work. My car carries me and about 300lbs of work related equipment at all times.

Seeking FE/mpg mod updates...what's worth doing?
Spitinuri replied to Jujulie's topic in Accessories & Modifications
The hardest thing to change is the cabin filter. If you can do that the plugs and the air filter are super easy. You have to lift the engine cover off in order to get to the air filter. The plugs are right there. a deep socket set will help you get the outer plug coils off. The plugs are easy to change. Good luck with everything. -
They were the second set. They had about 100K on them.
-
Not really. I replaced the fuel injectors about 40K miles ago. The rear shocks were 15K ago.
-
I drive mostly highway miles and just went over 237K. Still my EV miles are 53,567.6. 37.7mpg.
-
I just went over 237K miles. I did a little general maintenance. New plugs and air filter, New cabin air filter and new wiper blades. Someone asked earlier if it was the original traction battery and the answer is yes.
-
My C-Max just got a little help from me. To my knowledge I have never been asked about the cabin filter. At 237K miles it was filthy. But,.. I understand why no one wanted to mess with it. This was the most difficult cabin filter I have ever changed. I also changed the wipers, engine air filter and plugs. Total time about 2 hours with the cabin filter eating up about 1 hour of the time. I am hoping this will help get my mileage back up a little.

Passed 230K miles last week.

Added a couple of tires. Crossed 225K
-
I have been talked to a couple of times during rotation of my tires that the lug nuts swell on these cars and they recommend changing them. Since there is no spare in this car I declined. However Friday evening I had a blowout about 70 miles from home. It was 6pm ish and about 10 degrees outsite. It took 30 minutes for the garage to get the tire off to put a replacement on because of the lug nuts. Today I had all of the lug nuts replaced and two new tires.

I have just crossed 220K miles. The car is still running great. The latest issue is related to the door latch recall. Ever since I have had this done the front windows make that screeching noise (reminiscent of a chalkboard and nail combination). It was initially treated with a little window grease. On Monday we go back for a teardown and reconstruction to see if that fixes it.

Recall Notice 16S30 - Side Door Latch Replacement

I had mine done about 3 months ago. Since that time my front two windows make an high pitched screeching noise when the windows go down or up. It has been in the shop 2 times to fix it. On Monday they are going to tear it apart and reassemble to see if that helps. I am guessing something was put together out of spec or slightly shifted to cause the noise. I am hoping for a fix. -
Up to 207475 miles and still groing strong.

Almost all miles are highway. I average 40-50K a year. I bought this car in (Sept?) 2013 with 20K miles on it. My average MPG is 37.8 lifetime. Early on when I was trying to get the best mileage I did get a 600mpg tank. Now I drive 70-75 mph and don't worry so much about getting the best gas mileage.
