  1. We ordered a C-Max in December of 2012 and it has been nothing but trouble since we drove it off the lot. I love it, but I'm thinking about asking the dealer to keep it. There's a 2014 on the lot in the same color, and I'm so tempted to trade my 2013 to see if we'd fare any better with the 2014. I can overlook the plastic beauty panels meant to cover the bolts where the seats are fastened to the floor falling off, and the cargo netting disintegrating the first time I tried to stuff something in there, and I can overlook one or possibly two safety recalls, but this car stranded us in the middle of nowhere in Tennessee last year when the power steering went out for no discernible reason, and now it's getting a new transmission after starting to make a high-pitched whining noise in a funeral procession. It's got 20,000 miles on it, for Pete's sake. It shouldn't be this unreliable.
  2. We have when ours was going to be in for a week or more getting a new transmission. They said they were all out of loaners, but we were insistent and didn't take no for an answer and we were able to drive our other car to the nearest Enterprise location where they were also "out" of cars despite a visual survey of their lot telling me that they were lying a-holes. We ended up with a 15-passenger "church van" for two days that we had to take back in and change out for a Chrysler 200 because the church van was reserved. In all, we had a rental for 5 days. We also got a rental when it was in the shop a year or so ago, but we had to pay out of pocket and submit paperwork to Ford to get reimbursement. It took several weeks, but we did eventually get a check from them.
  3. Ditto. And now I've lost the part. I'm making my parts department find order another one and replace it with their super sticky tape.
  4. There's a recall on the headliner anyway, so make sure to mention that to them so they can install the recall parts when they do this work. It's something to do with it not absorbing enough force in crash tests and they add an extra pad above the passenger cabin in the front.
  5. What website? Because I need a cargo net and another interior panel that has fallen off and gotten lost, and the dealer is acting like looking these parts up is the biggest inconvenience in the world.
  6. Mine, too. I kept trying to stick it back on, but it eventually fell out of the floorboard and is now lost. The most awful part is that the sticky tape is now exposed and if you're sitting back there, your pant leg gets stuck to it. Arg! That little panel that covers a fuse box on the driver's side kept falling off and is lost now, too. I'm going to make sure the dealership replaces these items. It's just sad that the interior is falling apart and it's not even a year old!
