  1. My stock wheel weighed in at 22.6 lbs but the wheel weights were still on it...so let's say 22.5.
  2. Yep. I think it will. It even supports a front camera which you can have automatically turn on if you like which turns off when you exceed 8MPH. I'm not sure why Joseph thinks you need to splice anything to install it. It is 100% plug and play no modifications to the car...it is easily removed if you need to get warrantee work done on the car;) The only thing I won't get is the bending reverse lines when turning in reverse, but I can live without that.
  3. Solidsignal is not the manufacturer. http://www.coastaletech.com/mytouch.htm APPLICATIONS INCLUDE ALL ALL MYTOUCH BASED FORD LINCOLN SYSTEMS NOTE: THE LOCKPICK CAN TURN ON A REAR VIEW CAMERA INPUT IN A VEHICLE THAT IS NOT ALREADY FACTORY EQUIPPED 2011-2014 Ford Edge 2011-2014 Ford Explorer 2012-2014 Ford Focus 2013-2014 Ford Focus ST (Auto or Manual transmission) 2013-2014 Ford Taurus 2013-2014 Ford Escape 2013-2014 Ford F150 2013-2014 F150 Raptor 2013-2014 F250, 350, 450, 550 2013-2014 Ford Fusion Hybrid 2013 Ford Fusion Energy 2013-2014 Ford Taurus 2013-2014 C-Max Hybrid 2013-2014 C-Max Energy LINCOLN 2011-2012 MKX 2013-2014 MKS 2012-2014 MKT 2013-2014 MKZ (NOTE: WILL NOT ACTIVATE A REAR CAMERA INPUT FOR THE MKZ APPLICATION)
  4. My Lockpick has finally been shipped. Hopefully I'll have time this weekend to install it. It says clearly on the Lockpick website: AUTOMATIC CAMERA ENABLING IN NON EQUIPPED VEHICLES
  5. If you believe the Internet: http://www.wheels.ca/over-inflated-tires-are-a-bad-idea/ But I'm sure you can find just as much information that says the opposite. I never believed the improvement of going to a skinner tire would be dramatic...but I do think it would be about the same as the improvement going from 44lbs to 51lbs PSI in the stock tires, maybe a bit more.
  6. Looks good...Mine are being delivered today;)
  7. That's the whole reasoning for a narrower tire. The same tire model of the same diameter but narrower will have LESS rolling resistance. Less braking performance is also true for running your tires at high PSI.
  8. Minimum tire width on a 7" wide wheel is 185 Prius V's come with 205 standard and 215 as an option.
  9. Has anyone thought about a slightly skinner and/or taller tire to improve MPG? 215/55-17 would be 0.4" taller (10mm) and 0.4" narrower 205/55-17 would be the same diameter but 0.8" narrower
  10. I thought the left one sat a bit high so I removed the "T" on the bracket so I could mount the GPS mount lower. After I did this it does not block the vent.
  11. This is the one I actually purchased: http://www.aliexpress.com/snapshot/305305273.html?PID=6149725&cv=11032041&cn=null&tp1=1rng8yok8pj67&tracelog=null&src=ale&URL=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.aliexpress.com%2Fsnapshot%2F305305273.html&af=cj_6149725&vd=30 I hooked it up the power temporarily just to test it, it's actually being powered by a AC/DC adapter. Yes Lockpick has power outputs for the camera: http://www.coastaletech.com/media/2013Videos/NEW%20Ford%20MyTouch%20FIM%20Lockpick%20Instructions2.pdf Forgot to note that the built in LED license plate light built into the camera is much whiter than the stock bulb on the other side. I just ordered a LED bulb for the other side to match the color: http://www.ebay.com/itm/310836792490?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 Scored it for 90 cents shipped:D I'm probably going to install a front camera also in the future.
  12. Still waiting for the Lockpick to arrive but I installed the camera today and ran the wires to the front. Tested it with a LCD monitor to make sure everything works. I had to open up the hole a bit with a Dermal to get the camera to fit but it wasn't too bad. Running the wires was the most work.
  13. Thanks for the info, I'm probably going to power the camera via the Lockpick unit I just ordered. This way I can turn on the rear camera anytime while I'm driving:)
  14. Got the camera a couple of weeks ago...testing it in the house.
  15. The Lockpick is much cheaper. http://www.solidsignal.com/pview.asp?p=mytouchlockpickv2&d=coastal-e-tech-freedom-in-motion-mytouch-lockpick-(mytouchlockpickv2)
  16. I ordered the "Sony CCD" version...so I'll report back how well it does.
  17. One trick is to get the power off the reverse lights when they turn on. That way the camera isn't always on.
  18. Found it even cheaper: http://www.aliexpress.com/snapshot/305305273.html
