  1. I'm with you reed mother I can't get a consistent AvMPg to go past 44 driving the same roads everyday.  It is so exhausting that I'm ready to just say the hell with it and just enjoy the ride for what it is at 38-44Avmpg

I had a Camry Hybrid and watched for a few years. It does become exhausting

I don't watch that close anymore.

  2. DUH!!!!!!!!!!!

Battery dead again this AM, but I think I may know what’s happening.

Both times I went to Swenson’s Drive In to eat. After you finish eating you turn on your car headlights to get the server to take the tray.

Last night for sure, I left the headlights in the ‘ON’ position.

This morning after the car was dead, I looked at my Vehicle Settings on the left display and my Home Light setting was set to Manual, which means that the lights won’t turn off automatically.

Don’t know if I accidentally set them that way or if it was reset during the 3.5.1 upgrade. Who knows.

I’m going to watch and see how it behaves after this and let you know. I have a battery jumper I can take with me that works fine to get it started.

  3. Well, my Energi was dead this morning. I ended up driving my truck to work.

I was too concerned about getting to work to give it much thought. I have a call in to the dealer, but I'll jump it when I get home.

The bad/good news is this didn't show up until just now. I've had the car since Feb 2nd.

That means whatever the failure mode is, it can occur at any time.

  4. Ok, finally installed my Torklift 2" hitch. Went fairly smoothly for a one person install.

The instastruction sheets were ok, but man the pictures were very crappy. It really doesn't matter because it's so simple, once you are under there if you can't figure out what to do, you shouldn't be under the car. lol

Pulled the car up on two ramps, and used two jack stands to hold the hitch close to the car while installing.

Made a couple of minor goofs.

    1. Started screwing in the driver's side when I realized I forgot about the muffler hanger staring me in the face

    2. One center bolt was cross threading, but I was able to take it out and get it started properly

    3. I bought a torque wrench specifically for this install, but none of my 13 mm sockets fit it, and I had no adapters that would work. Since it was getting dark, I ended up tightening them up as best I could. I'll get an adapter and go back and check them later.... really...

I'm sure it took less than an hour to do.

  5. You can go to: http://www.afdc.energy.gov/locator/stations/results?utf8=✓&location=Roanoke%2C+va&filtered=true&fuel=all&owner=all&payment=all&ev_level1=true&ev_level2=true&ev_dc_fast=true&radius_miles=5 to find some in the area.  All of them are in Roanoke.  But Salem blends in with Roanoke so you don't have far to go to get to Roanoke if you want to charge there.  This address is closest to Salem: 4426 Melrose Ave, RoanokeVA 24017, it looks like UHall, phone: 540-366-2415.  It would be best to check the web site because they give all the information you would need.  If you want  more information let me know.  I'm surprised that Ford doesn't have a charging station.

I hope you have a great time at the lake!

    Thanks!
