  1. I saw a silver C-MAX on the Today Show last week the day after the horrible snow/traffic disaster down there. I took a picture of it off the tv, but I don't want to post it yet unless someone wants to see it and thinks it them on the TV. Comes in at 7:06am, Jan 29, when they were talking to the Atlanta mayor. If you are on this forum, I hope you got off the roads safely and quickly that day.
  2. Great news, thanks for posting. Such a ridiculous tax.
  3. Thanks Bill-N! It works — now that I'm making sure to only touch the outside of the handle for locking. I didn't end up going to service the problem on Friday since it started working again when I was trying correctly. Didn't read that part of the owner manual originally, but I see it's a safety guard. The unlocking and locking aren't supposed to be exactly the same. Thanks again.
  4. I've been having problems with my intelligent access key feature too—for locking only. Originally, I thought it was cold weather related but it unlocks without any problems, no matter how cold. Not wearing gloves for that to be a factor. The locking feature worked fine when I got car last month, but it's worked less and less consistently to the point where I can't get it working anymore—even if I unlock the doors successfully right before it with my hands in the same position. I've been observing it for the last 2 weeks, making sure that it wasn't user error. Taking it to service on Friday, fingers crossed they can replicate and fix the issue at the service department. I'll post an update here. Anybody else having problems with only locking or unlocking but not both?
  5. Elvis radio! a huge treat for me since it's my first time with Sirius. Otherwise, from my mp3s— Big Star, The Animals, 50's-60's rock-n-roll, 70's prog/glam. . . all of it sounds great in my new ride. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oB7j5jj6cZE
  6. Similar story for me—came to the C-Max via my Honda Civic Hybrid '05. I was also fortunate enough to have my IMA battery replaced under warranty too. Despite a few issues like an inconsistent auto-stop, I loved that little Honda and it treated me well (40/49 mpg), probably because I was stingy on the accelerator because of the driving feedback. When it was time to get a new car, I wanted a hatchback hybrid that felt higher with a good dashboard—no competition from the Japanese manufacturers for my requirements. No idea about the C-Max until I searched hybrids a few months ago which then started an obsession. Never thought I'd go with a Ford but so glad I did. Still breaking in my C-Max but hoping my hybrid experience translates into great mpg. Interested to learn from everybody else on this forum.
