thank you , I can see the charge posts you are pointing out, one more question, which one is the 12 v power stud and which one is the ground ? thank both of you for your help

Do you know of a good charger that you can use in the cigarette lighter ? I don't know what a 12 v power stud is. I know what a regular car battery looks like not sure beyond that.

I was hoping my battery problem was fixed in may. I had the battery replaced and was lucky til today. it is dead again. I will have to wait til Monday to get it taken to the dealer. I was just starting to feel like it was ok. This is very depressing. I know some of you have been through a lot more dead batteries than me, but I have to say I really wish I had gotten a Prius. It is not as fun to drive and nowhere near as nice but everyone I know who has one is satisfied and has had no problems.

I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this. Since I had the battery replaced about a week ago a few times when I have turned the car on the display was slow to turn on. The little middle screen was black for a about 10 seconds but the radio was playing. at other times all the display screen were slow to turn on. Prior to the battery problem I had the screens would turn on instantaneously.

1. i would like a panoramic roof that opens 2. a rear hatch that has a tail gate and a window that opens separately , it would be so much easier to put things back there not be afraid they will fall out when I open the back 3 a center console that is more useful it's a deep cavern making It difficult to find things 4 a more open area for storage under the radio area 5 front seats that fold all the way forward for carrying long things or making a travel bed for long trips But most of all ... A more reliable battery ! I don't want to have to get up and check the car an hour before I have to leave for work to make sure I will be on time if I have a dead battery. It's not good to be afraid that your car won't start especially when it's brand new.

Adding my name to the roll call. A dead battery yesterday morning. I came out to go to work and it was dead. I had it jumped and taken to dealer. They said the battery was bad and replaced it. I have had it since February and it had about 2600 miles. It has had no problems prior to this. I can only hope this is fixed. I was wondering after reading all these these posts about dead batteries how many vehicles have had to be replaced via the lemon law. I am also wondering as a first time hybrid owner is this a common problem with all hybrids or is the seemingly high volume of dead batteries on the c- max unusual ?

Sad to say , I am now on the list of people with dead batteries. I noticed that my phone battery drained yesterday when I was in the house and I was worried so I checked the car to make sure it was not attached via Bluetooth and it was fine. the car battery was good and the Bluetooth icon was not there. the phone was in the house and the car was in the driveway and it has not been an issue. I have had the car since February and it has about 2600 miles. it was built at the end of last year. it is at the dealer now. I have let them know that if it happens twice more I will need to get rid of the car. my job requires I have a reliable car. I would hate to do it but I can't have a car that does this. today I really regret getting this car. I wish I had my old reliable Honda element that I absolutely loved but the gas mileage was not as good. it was sold within a couple of weeks after I traded it in or I would love to have it back. I should add se model only upgrade was a power lift gate

I agree Rachel it is a pretty color. I can' t quite describe it when people ask me about it . It does drive a lot better than the prius and I like the weight . It feels much more solid in the snow. I was afraid of getting a car without AWD or 4wd, that's all I have driven for years. I didn't want to slide around. It has been pretty good so far just a little trouble on steep driveways when there is a lot of snow. I have been able to fit all my things for work and I am really happy about that. I am enjoying all the technical displays. They are helping me learn how to be an efficient hybrid driver. Thanks for the warm welcome everyone :)

Thanks Rachel and congratulations to you too ! I got ice storm. I was torn between that and the white platinum both are beautiful colors.

I finally decided to take the plunge. I got the cmax se with a panoramic roof. I read a lot of informative posts on these forums and I was convinced it was a good move for me. Although there are some scarey posts about battery problems, it seems most of you are having a great time and I am hoping it will be a reliable little car < crossing my fingers >. I do a lot of driving for my job and hope my mileage improves as I Improve in my hybrid driving skills. It's a cute little thing but it has a lot less storage than my element and that will take some getting used to. I don't travel light and have to carry a lot shtuff for my job. When I travel, I have to carry a lot of things for my pets and peeps. I looked at the prius v and it was a contender due to its larger size but the cmax is more affordable and I like the display a lot better. Too bad I can't combine the some of the storage aspects of the prius v and the cmax's much better display. All in all I think I will get used to the size of the cmax and I will really enjoy the money I save on fuel once I fine tune my hybrid driving skills. Keep putting up all those great posts everyone I really am learning a lot from everyone thanks !

Hi crystal I am thinking about a c-max se too in ice storm. I have been reading the forums to see what people are saying. I was really interested in your post because i drive an element too and love it but i need better gas mileage. I am really interested in what you think when you get your new c-max. Elements are such fun cars , i am having troublle deciding to let go. I am with you, i am really hoping to keep it in the family :)
