where you plan on storing the spare? there is no place other than the rear cargo area and I personally wouldnt be willing to give that up for a spare plus it will slide around while you are driving. Good luck

been there done that, I have severely tested the ABS system on Maxus on multiple occasions. That pulsing brake pedal is weird but it is working.

My average is far from 98 percent. I don't know if it's just me but I find it very hard to land a100 percent more than 3 times in a row. Traffic patterns here in the sillycorn valley are just too unpredictable to maintain a pattern. My braking score is pretty up and down and why my AvMPG never has gone beyond 58 and that wasn't for long. Would be nice to get a 700mile tank, but I think I'll have to settle for the 600+ I earned last summer. But I can dream of better MPG this summer. :future:

Joe this is still something I haven't quite mastered, I find myself pulling out slowly and trying to keep the ICE from coming on. Thanks for the tip.

It is vitally important to brake slowly and gradual as you approach a light or stop sign. Abrupt braking will really cut into your AvMPG and braking scores. I always try to start braking early with a light but even pressure on the pedal when coming to a stop.

in my case there is another driver since my wife has only driven Maxus about 4 times since new in Sept of 2012

Nice, Kostby haven't thought of that approach.

Really annoyed that every so often I have to reset my choices on MyView. Got back in the car and drove away, noticed that the AvMPG was not showing in the right side of my MyView screen. I like is to show with the Tach displayed on the left side. Just get tired of resetting it now and then. Also my GPS and phone functions have really been flaky lately and doing allot maintenance updates. More so than usual.

I have played with the idea of twin racing stripes down the middle since I LOVE IT on Cobra's and Vipers. But always talk myself out of doing it since lets face it, CMax isn't a Cobra or Viper.

that rear view pic was taken from my favorite angle. I've always liked the drivers side rear view the best.

Yes that is true but if you don't use it it is a pain to take it all off, if you choose to do so? I'm thinking this summer I might redo mine since with all my incidents of hitting and climbing over curbs has torn away the paint in several places. This time I will tape off the lug bolt holes at the bottom so when tightening the lugs doesn't stretch and tear the rubberized paint like my first job which required allot of repair and touchup. I think if you use the power sprayer that dipyourcar.com sells it gives a nicer end result but not sure I want to buy their sprayer, probably won't use it that much.

please tell me you didn't drill a hole in your CMax?

Custom C-Max Headlights

Not planning to do this any time soon. Just blew a big wag of cash to upgrade my Mac Pro workstation to a 1 terabyte Solid State Drive (SSD). $500 :spend: :drop: -
Sorry to see it wasn't because of CMax sales. I can't imagine why people buy those big trucks in this economy and fuel what it is?

For sale. New still in the box Curt trailer hitch

Very sorry to hear you sold your Max, must have been a real sore spot for you to go that extreme? -
Jus I have mine spread out across the rear spoiler about mid way across the width of the spoiler. That seems to be the best location I've found. I also have one on either side of the rear panel between the side rear windows and the rear glass to hopefully try to smooth out the flow where Ford put the '14 rear air deflectors. ;)

I hear your frustration I'm having trouble keeping a 46 on my gauge this week, but I'll take it just the same. I would like to enroll in the Brother Jus School of CMax driving efficiency  Hey I know, I'll come to SoCal with my video gear and you can do an instructional video :yahoo:

When Wipers on / Headlights on?
mtb9153 replied to Muttonhead's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors & Wipers
That is where I keep mine all the time, except for when Maxus goes to the dealer. Everytime I get it back they have turned off the auto headlights and when it gets dark oncoming cars flash me to tell me to turn on my headlights. I just wish for once they would return it to the auto setting. Don't know why they have to mess with it? -
Custom C-Max Headlights
mtb9153 replied to BillyBaquera's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors & Wipers
I took a look at that link, very interesting and looks well done. I wonder if they take your existing lamp assemblies in exchange for their converted units? Or require you to send yours in for conversion which would mean you couldn't drive until they are returned since you wouldn't have turn signals or headlights to drive at night? ;) Wonder what the cost is for both assemblies? Forget what I wrote above, after visiting their home page it tells the price of $275 per pair of headlights and they do require you to send yours in and turnaround is 3-5 days for most conversions. Not sure I'd be willing to be unable to drive that long. Plus I need my CMax for daily work commuting. Not sure I will be the first to try these? -
Well there is a product they call glossifyer which is applied after the black coats or whatever your base coat color is dry. It does make for a shiny appearance but it wasn't enough for me when I applied it on my factory wheels or the smoke tint I put over the taillights ;) It is true that if you use a clear coat of clear lacquer or a clear coat you can buy at any auto or home improvement store. It will react with the plasti-dip and make it a pain to remove. That is why only use the glosifyer from Plasti-dip.

My sync system has been doing allot of maintenance updates the last two days, more than I've seen this close together. Strange thing is after the system is finished and reboots, when I select the NAV function from the screen the screen locks and none of the functions are selectable. After a few minutes the screen refreshes and everything is fine again. Acting weirder than usual, but it's Microsoft based so I'm not surprised. Apple Mac would be so much better.
