  1. Your C-Max was just wooing you to capture your heart, weebee! ;) I'm happy that the honeymoon period's in full swing. Do you have an appointment already set up for the vibrations? I'll be glad to check out some options to keep this a happy union. :)

    Hi wb8nbs,

If you decide to try again with your dealer, or seek a second opinion at another, please let me know. I can reach back out to your CSM to see how we can silence your woes about the woos.

No, I haven't yet. I'm on some crazy hours at work at the moment.

  2. We bought our Max in June last year. It made the loud wooo noise a few times in 80 degree weather. Right around the time we had the woo noises the car after sitting all day in a parking lot refused to start the fault was high temp warning on the high voltage battery system. The dealership adjusted something in the programming and I've never had either problem since. We just went through one of the harshest winters I've seen in upstate NY in alot of years. And neither me, or the wife,  heard the noise. But we are getting slight to moderate vibrations at various low rpms. Which I'll be taking the car in to look at. The car only has about 7500 miles on it.

  3. The dealer could not find a reason. He said it was probably, "Just a one time glitch." Wonderful. I was going to use the Max on our vacation trip to Virginia Beach. Now, I don't know. I'm going to drive it to work the next couple of weeks and give it a work out. 80 miles a day. If it happens again I hope I get a better resolution.

  4. My wife went out to go home for lunch yesterday and the car refused to start. It has a High Temp alarm on the display. The car was off for 5 hours and it was in the low 70's. She went out to meet the tow truck to get it taken to the dealership. She decided to try again and it started right up. It's in the shop now being looked at. Kind of frustrating for a car with less then 2000 miles on it.

  5. Sorry about your tire.  We had a flat recently close to home and had to replace a tire too.  My mini-spare just happened to be in the car and it worked great.  Unfortunately the jack I had purchased (made for an Escape) was to tall to slide under the C-Max with a flat tire.  I had to get help from AAA>

Thanks, with only 1020 miles on the C-max it really stunk that I have to replace a tire. But, hey, what can you do?

  6. I also heard about a second check coming to CMax owners, but from what I found out that is a rumor . I spoke to my dealer and he said Ford is not sending out any more checks. The first check that was sent last year is it. Hate to bring bad news , but that's the way it is. Was kind of looking forward to getting another check too because of how hard the value has drop on these cars.

I went to the Ford website and checked. I'm getting a check. Anytime between now and Sept.

  7. Wasn't me... I'm one of the two Ice Storms in Bushnell's Basin, and the two at Xerox in Webster... but not at the same time.

Maybe we'll see each other along the way. I work in Greece.

  8. Well, when I picked up my car yesterday I saw that I indeed have the A4 version on my navi. I asked to have it it upgraded for free because this is a brand new car and it should be fully up to date. They wouldn't go for it. That was what was up to date at the time of assembly and that's what you get. Oh, it was worth the try!
