So gas is now more than gold per Oz. So me n wife broke open piggy bank got a for maxc energi 2013 with 69,000. Very nice ride, quite, comfortable. We have a 2004 prius (116,000) it is none of that but gets 50 mpg. So I've looked the car over is that 12 volt battery all it runs on in ev? Is there anyway to change out with a bigger but same voltage battery? I'm only getting 12 miles per charge, at what point do I change. I don't understand why I have to plug it in, when the car is driving down the road, can't it recharge both the hybrid battery and the Itty bitty one. Or do I have a bad battery? Ev mode works fine charging is also fine. Thank you for your time and reading and hopefully posting a response I was expecting 40-60mpg. Only getting 34 on average.
