Today I am experience the exact opposite problem. My radio won't turn on. That means I have no radio, no mp3 ability, no navigation voice, no bluetooth, and no voice commands. Is there a set of instructions somewhere for a master reset or is it just in the infotainment settings somewhere?

Paul, would that be 10K on the ice alone or 10K combined? Curious.
I've had too many new cars to count and I've never really noticed a change in fuel mileage as the engine broke in.
My C-Max has 22K now in about 9 months ownership. Nearly 12K is in EV mode. Since last summer, my mileage per gallon has stayed relatively the same during the warm months, dropping only in the colder ones. It seems to me that 30 degrees+ is the magic number for good mileage. That's just warm enough to retain engine heat yet have very little need to run the heater. Any lower and fuel mileage really begins to suffer.

I plan to do the same, will get them made this summer and be ready when the cold comes next year.

It's about time that my fuel mileage came back from the long cold winter :love_shower:
This was the first winter with my 2013 SE and I basically lost 8-10 mpg with the temps ranging anywhere from -5F to 20F. We had a stretch earlier this week in the upper 40's and it was SOOOO nice to see those 50+mpg tanks again!
Is the fuel loss I experienced on par with what others have seen?

I made an interesting discovery while stringing Christmas Lights on Maxus. I needed to get power from the drivers side left rear corner over to the opposite side on the passenger side to string lights around the rear wheel well and down the rocker panel like I did on the drivers side. Using a generic household extension cord which was plugged into the female connector at the end of the string of lights, I stretched the extension cord across the rear bumper laying it in one the horizontal recesses of the black kick panel under the bumper secured with duct tape. I found that once doing this the tailgate kick function no longer worked. I removed the extension cord to see if the kick function came back and it did. Not sure why the extension cord would do this? Maybe the voltage passing through the cord somehow blocked the motion sensors electronics.
Mike, I think what you may have done is covered the proximity switch for the rear lift gate with the extension cord. The switch cant sense when your foot passes underneath it to trigger the latch with the cord "blocking its view".

Certainly not a good thing to have happen Mike. Did you get no notice in the left hand display with a warning the hatch was open? Mine alerts me that way when the hatch is up.

Congrats again Mike! Keep pushing your envelope!

Best wishes for your dad Mike.
And yo CAN hit that 600 mile tank. As Nike says: "Just do it"

Interesting looking product. Wonder how it would do in a very cold climate? It looks like it's rated at 6 AMPS.

No warm up needed but I am now experiencing the dreaded drop in MPG here in the cold temps. It's been in the teens here the last few mornings.
I'm seeing nearly a 10 MPG drop since I do want SOME heat. Now wishing I got the winter package

I gave the Volt just a passing glance when last shopping for my C-Max. My last GM vehicle was a sore spot with me. GM wouldn't even acknowledge their issues.
My 2013 Escape did have issues, and Ford took very good care of me when recalls were issued, no questions asked They have earned my future business too.

Maybe you bumped the nav card while putting something in the center console? Pull the nav card and reset it back in its slot.

Thanks for the comparison. I sure do enjoy my CMax.

The typical EV symbol will turn to EV+ when in this mode.
Personally I don't find much use for it.

Maybe instead of rebate checks we are all getting an upgrade to an Energi instead!! :happy feet: :happy feet: :happy feet:

Pulled the radio fuse, let it out for about 5 minutes and re-installed. All is back to normal :shift:
