That is true.

You should not have to be insistent to get a loaner. The car is under warranty, you should have received one.

2013 C Max SEL Ordered 11/20 and just now getting VIN #
zhackwyatt replied to CassyD's topic in Welcome
Yes, the C-Max remote start is a dealer installed option. So it comes as an extra fob on your keychain. I highly recommend getting the bi-directional over standard remote start. However, the bi-directional only comes with one fob, as opposed to two for the standard. I should say the C-Max Energi comes with remote start from the factory. Ford has totally screwed this up as you can't order the bi-directional on the order form (at least when I ordered my car end of July). The bi-directional is only around $70 more, and offers 250 extra feet in range and confirmation that the car actually received the signal and started. The antenna for the unidirectional is: Note Ford recommends installing behind the rear-view mirror for the unidirectional, but the automatic rain sensing wipers sensor blocks that location, so my dealer put it on the rear-view mirror. I don't think they had to but they did. The antenna for the bi-directional is: -
Turn in point 2 miles if I recall correctly. Some GPS I have will say 200 feet. I can't remember which the C-Max is.

With all the L's and C's it's almost like your speaking in another language, lol. I wish the US was on the metric system.

I want them to fix the bugs first, then they can add new features.

You have to remember that the two batteries are completely different. If the Li-on batteries are full and the 12v is dead, then the gas engine doesn't need to come on to move the vehicle. We just need the 12v to open the relays to connect the Li-on to the rest of the system. One thing I have not tested, is if the car is on, and you open the hood, does it always force the gas engine to come on no matter what? The Chevy Volt does this and is an important safety feature. I wouldn't like it if someone had the button pushed and I didn't know it and started mucking about under the hood and the thing turned over w/ no warning.

Would you buy the CMax if the advertised MPG was below 47/47?
zhackwyatt replied to Jus-A-CMax's topic in Lounge: Off-Topic
They advertise the EPA numbers. What are they supposed to say, EPA numbers are 47 but you won't get that. Oh, but trust the EPA numbers on our other cars. -
The chevron near me closed down so I started going to Fry's. After about a year my Explorer started hesitating when I stepped on the gas and a few times stalled and few times almost killed me. Took it to the dealer a few times and they could never reproduce the problem. Put a bottle of techron in the tank and haven't had the problem since.

Rear window is usually square, and front windshield has an arc to the outline. You can see the diff for the washer fluid controls.

If you ask Sync "Where am I?" when this happens does she give you the correct info?

I have a little over 2000 miles and have had no problems except a few MFT quirks. -
To me a top tier gas that meets the recommended octane rating for the car is better than a lower quality gas with a higher octane.

Update on annoying noise (no, it wasn't my imagination <3)
zhackwyatt replied to Adair's topic in General Discussion
No, it will, I was just trying to say it won't come back on automatically after a timeout or any other reason. -
I'm having trouble visualizing that since its so zoomed in, where is that exactly?

Yeah, after I looked in the car I realized I was wrong, its a P with a Cone. You probably already figured that out, but just fixing the record :). I have to turn it off sometimes when I get too close to the drive through window, you just have to remember that it's off until you reboot the car. So don't crash into anything ;) -

Yes, the front is higher pitched than the back (may be reversed, I can't remember). In any case, there is a button behind the shifter that has a P and also says OFF, that you can turn the sounds off. Also, I'm not sure you should be driving 65mph in reverse on the expressway.... :runaway: -
key fob not working

There is supposed to be a checklist they follow after delivery of the vehicle, makes me wonder what else they forgot. -
Where to Post Maintenance and Issues Questions
zhackwyatt replied to rums54's topic in Maintenance, TSB's & Recalls
Well it won't be. The C-max does not come with keyless entry keypad, like the escape does. Furthermore you can get the keyless keypad accessory (basically it sticks on with double-sided tape), but you can only use it when you don't have your keys with you because you cannot lock your keys in the car. -
I defy anyone to look at my windshield and tell me it has tint. :) You can't tell its there.

Hey all, I slapped this together from a page by Darren Popham. http://gocalipso.com/2013/02/plugin-hybrid-energy-cost-comparison-calculator.php#post Let me know what ya'll think? If any of the values are wrong or anything. It doesn't look all that great either, but I had to smash it into the rest of the sites template. (The rest of the site is really old and stale, sorry, I'm slow haven't really maintained it.)
-
Yes, it also has a longer range than the unidirectional one. The unidirectional comes with 2 remote start fobs, and the bi-directional comes with only one.
-
Depends on which you get installed. I had the one-way remote start fob, originally, but really wanted the bi-directional so I knew when the car was actually started. So I switched to that.
-
I'm assuming this is all because the built-in inverter doesn't have enough capacity for the needs you guys want? The 110 outlet in the car is, what, 100watts max I think?

Mine is Ruby Red and I work in Scottsdale so it may have been me. I saw a gray or silver (can't remember) one near Hayden and McDowell, was that you?
