  1. I signed up for this too. My understanding is they ONLY track the number of miles you drive. So if you drive less than the average bear you will receive higher discounts. I have not renewed my policy since signing up though so we will see what benefit it comes with. The letter said there is potential if you drive more for your rates to go up.
  2. I'm not sure what you mean by forklifted? But if you mean replacing the entire PCM module just to prevent a delay by a month or so, I think your asking for too much. That would have been pretty costly in every C-Max sold. We do not have all the information that they have. (I would love to be a fly on the wall in some of these meetings.) I for one am wiling to give them the benefit of the doubt until I see evidence to the contrary.
  3. I would think the PCM just needs to be reprogrammed anyways for the FE update.
  4. Right, I was saying we had to bring our cars in for a PCM update and the MFT 3.5.1 update. I wouldn't be surprised if we just bring our cars in for the FE update and the 3.6 update at the same time. The 3.5.1 update was always going to be later for the Electrified vehicles than the normal ones when first announced. The PCM module update was rumored to be the cause of delay for the C-Max.
  5. Looks like version 3.6 of MFT is coming in August. http://fordtechlane.com/new-myford-touch-upgrade-to-be-released-in-august-2013/ I would expect a similar update scenario as 3.5.1 since the FE update is also supposed to come out in August. I couldn't find any word on what the update will bring. My guess is just bug fixes.
  6. Before it unlocks the hatch, but that doesn't mean it doesn't see the object waiting for it to move? I'm just trying to explain why he is seeing the difference.
  7. I've had both units installed. One is bi-directional which increases the range, and makes the key fob beep when the car is started (hence the bi-directional). The other one has a shorter range and doesn't have bi-directional, so you hit the button and hope the car started but you have no idea if it did, unless you are close enough to hear it honk. With the non-bidirectional, you get 2 fobs, bi-directional you get one. 8. I"ve heard they have redesigned the latch mechanism. Maybe yours needs that?
  9. I wonder if it is being picked up by the sensor and preventing it from going to sleep since something is always down there.
  10. 3.5.1 started rolling out of the Factory sometime in February. So it's in your car. As to the FE update, I don't know.
  11. It's always one. You can't turn it off.
  12. I can't speak to the Alarm, but the remote star fob does require a seperate fob from the lock/unlock fob you get w/ the car. I know of no Fob that controls the whole system.
  13. That's a fair point too. I offer no animosity.
  14. I'm curious as to why you did that because Ford includes one with the car. Was it because of the plugs?
  15. Hmm, I wonder if we should have a rolling subscription that jumps around between people. It sure was nice to get all the details on the TSB's as they came out, but not fair for you to foot the cost.
  16. Hmm, anyone want to try to get a 0%? :stirpot:
  17. This is awesome, no reason to read the words, I can just see the pictures and get the full story. Anywho, time for a net?
  18. Depends on the amount of money willing to spend. If you use a Self-Signed certificate (free) then the browsers will display warnings saying they can't verify the security. If a certificate is bought from someone like Verisign or Thawte, then the browser won't display that warning.
  19. Makes sense, but I think it's partially for consistency sake. My parents have an 2011 Ford Explorer and the only way to tell what the temperature is set to is based on the MFT screen. They don't have a separate climate display.
  20. We are, but this isn't the only thread on this topic on the forum. The same thing has been discussed over and over since the car came out around Oct/Nov of 2012. Ford lied, Ford cheated, Ford is amoral. Or EPA test sucks, EPA lied, EPA is amoral. Or neither lied, neither is amoral, I beat EPA numbers all the time. There just doesn't seem to be any new ideas adding to the discussion. It's like Obamacare or something, people have chosen their side and it's darn near impossible to convince someone of the others viewpoints.
  21. I got 70 on the Windshield, and 35 on the sides and back. And that's why I don't live in that communist state to the west of me....I kid I kid. :love_shower:
  22. Sorry to hear about your problems. Remember the 12volt battery only has to open relays to allow the hybrid battery to connect to the rest of the system. It does not have to start an engine like a normal car, so that explains why a little trickle charge was enough to get that relay open. The car does make noises when parked on and off. Periodically there is an emission test that causes this. See if anything over in this forum helps, and please vote in the poll: http://fordcmaxhybridforum.com/topic/1294-for-those-who-have-had-12v-battery-problems/
  23. How many times are we going to beat a dead horse? Just wondering... :finger:
