Yes, but I just never paid too close attention, and always kept it on Auto and let it do its thing. The thing is, the temp inside the car is hotter than outside to begin w/, so I think you want outside air first and then switch to recirc once the interior is cooler than the exterior. I'm not sure the A/C is that smart to do all that switching unfortunately--In fact, it does the opposite.

I have sinned...vent bezel reflection issues

40 on the sides and 70 on the front windshield. For reference, the performance info: http://multimedia.3m.com/mws/mediawebserver?mwsId=66666UF6EVsSyXTtnxf6oXT6EVtQEVs6EVs6EVs6E666666--&fn=Auto WF Performance Data.pdf And a picture of what it looks like: I got tint before the summer heat arrived, so I really don't have a before/after comparison. I need to find a thermometer as I want to do some tests about parking north vs south, etc. When it's 116 outside (like last weekend) you need all the help you can get. -
Here in Phoenix it was 116 last weekend...I'm screwed. I have to keep the A/C at 70 auto to keep from breaking a sweat and I use remote start so it just sits there for a few minutes sucking energy while it cools off. I'll try the recirc trick, but on my commute I don't think it switches to outside air until half-way through anyways because the interior just hasn't been cooled off yet.

1,400 miles cross country, driving with the flow of traffic
zhackwyatt replied to Jmonty's topic in Fuel Mileage
Take a look at: http://fordcmaxhybridforum.com/topic/611-epa-highway-mileage-test/ "For the highway test, the average speed is 48.3 mph with a top speed of 60mph, no stops." "The EPA adjusts this test with additional tests, one is for "High Speed" which includes a short little time spend at 80 mph, like only 20 seconds. Still the "High Speed" test averages only 48mph" -
It's the whole system. Dealers are independently owned, and there's only so much "control" that Ford can bring. Fast food franchises around here are the same, one KFC is nice, and a couple miles away the other is crap.

That could be. Tinting was one of the first things I got done, so I don't have a good comparison before and after. Maybe it's the direction and times I drive, but I just never have a problem with reflection. I have 3M crystalline. -
In Cali, your regular is probably more than our premium, lol. :drop: So sorry, it won't be me.

I grew up in New Mexico, it's always someone's second thought. I'm surprised it shows up at all in half the GPS units out there, lol. My understand is that companies like Navteq (http://www.navteq.com/products_data_whatis_difference.htm) actually drive the streets with a gps taking down points, and simultaneously taking pictures of all the signs, like speed limit, and importing it into their database. They probably don't travel rural areas as much as more populated.

Navigation tips anyone? (3.5.1)
zhackwyatt replied to GreenChicago's topic in Audio, MyFord, Navigation & SYNC
This is really hard for me to answer because I"m not sitting in my car. 1) There is an option in the settings somewhere to pre-fill in your current state. Turn that off. 2) In the Phoenix area it always prompts me. When you type in 4th street, there should be a little button with > and a number next to the text box. If you press that it doesn't give you the options? 3) I've seen weird quirks like that b4 3.5.1. I haven't used Nav enough since to see if that has solved the problem. Have you tried switching between the keyboard options? 4) How so? What are you saying to it? Where does it fail at? 5) I'm not sure if it takes traffic into consideration, but remember you have to have an active Sirius subscription w/ the traffic option for it to work. There may be an option to always select one route instead of showing, shortest, fastest, and eco, but I can't remember. I hope this helps some. -
I thought you said you were going to test the difference?

How do you figure that? My tint has a 55% glare reduction in it. -
Oh! I totally read that backwards, lol sorry. Yeah, speed limit is only shown on the Main display only when your in the navigation section. And it's only on the right of the speedometer if you have that display set to Nav. What I often do is set that display to nav while my passenger is playing w/ radio. If I'm by myself, I swap the two.

So, I went to the dentist today........

Now the question is, did this really happen or was it just a dream while under the gas? -
I guess the lack of cargo space in an energi can be an advantage sometimes, everything tucks neatly under the platform.

Ford Etis Website - Check It Out!

Your right, I was thinking more along the lines of frying than bricking when I originally posted. This is the first bricked NAV module we have heard of and we know of several dealers having problems with the install. I still find it suspect, especially since it happened twice in a row. -

Let's stop fooling around, who is going to break the 1400 mile barrier? Lol, j/k, good job man. -
Don't waste your money with Premium gas!
zhackwyatt replied to SnitGTS's topic in Hybrid Driving Tips & Tricks
HPRifleman is right, General Motors owns the toptiergas.com website (using whois lookup). Probably some intern found a link with a description of Top Tier on the 76 website and that's why it's there. I do not believe it's owned by 76. -
Trailer hitch supplier?

There is no way to turn it off permanently. -
That's weird, I've always had the blinking circle before and after I got the 3.5.1 update.
-
That could have been dangerous because of carbon monoxide.

Makes me wonder if something similiar to what Joe experienced is really happening with sdaustin6483 and they are either lying or unaware of what's breaking. Frying a Nav module makes no sense, they are doing something wrong. -
Is 3.5.1 available for the SE model
zhackwyatt replied to 3-mer's topic in Audio, MyFord, Navigation & SYNC
It has to be done by the dealer because the PCM in the car has to be updated as well as MFT. Sounds like another incompetent dealer. -
I like it because it can help train people. It explains why the engine is on, etc.
