  1. Hello All, Anyone have the custom mats for the C-Max? At first I wondered if they existed because my SEL did not come with the custom mats (although it did come with really good high quality mats). But I did a check this evening and it looks like Ford has some awesome custom mats in both a black and a stone that run for $95. I will check into ordering these. I was wondering if anyone has them, or if anyone got custom mats as the default with their C-Max. The main difference I see is that the custom mats have the C-Max emblem (in awesome fashion) on all four (even the rear passenger) mats. Like I said, the ones I received were definitely premium, but I like the custom mats even more. Again, I wanted to see if anyone else has them and what they think of them. I definitely plan on ordering a set. :)
  2. As I said in the beginning on this post, I used to drive a Prius ('10). I'll tell you, I found driving it in non-power mode to be very dull. And when I drove it in the "Econ" mode I'd just prefer to take the bus than even drive. It's like Toyota added resistance to the gas pedal! :-) I liked the point about sitting higher in the C-Max. Honestly that was a huge selling point for me. I love the driving the position in the C-Max. And, this has not been brought up yet, but Ford is saying the battery on a C-Max should easily last the life of the car. It's made differently than that of the Prius where one has to at least start to wonder about it at 150,000. I liked to hear Ford say that. My understanding, from what I read, is that the C-Max will start to experience some MPG decline when the battery gets much older, but at least it should not need to be replaced.
  3. Hello, I'm fairly new to my C-Max, but like it far better than the Prius I had before. No comparison, the Prius can't compare on so many fronts. Drive the Prius in "Power" mode only, and it will probably not do as well as the C-Max, and if you don't always drive a Prius in "Power" mode, then good luck having any fun. Drive a Prius in "Econ" mode, and you better plan on a sore foot. Definitely like the C-Max better! Okay, now to my questions : First, I don't like the feature where the car honks when you have the C-Max on and you step out of it with the key in your pocket. Can I turn that off? Second, I don't like not being to switch the odometer to "Trip 1" and "Trip 2". Can I switch the display of the odometer in the lower left to show the "Trip 1" or "Trip 2" instead? I don't like only being able to see the trip display by replacing the "Empower" display. Is there any way to do that? Let me know any thoughts you guys have on this. Thanks a lot!
  4. This all seems quite speculative. The neutral and reliable reports I've seen are that the C-Max sales are not off the charts but at the same time are "steady". Dealerships are not ashamed to have extra C-Maxes on their lot, that is foresure. These are the same reports that study sales figures at dealerships all across the country. There is no sign that Ford marks down the C-Max any more than they do other models (read the 20% figure with incentives; that's with all the bizarre incentives stacked, and any Ford model would sell at 20% off MSRP with all the incentives stacked like that INCLUDING FIESTA). Were the EPA figures a set back, yes. But, as stated, research is showing that sales are still "steady" and reports are saying that dealers will negotiate a "fair" price, but not "fire sale" them. Ford just admitted that the C-Max will take off in the ride share market (and is the perfect car for that). Ford also just added more money into marketing the C-Max SE on many hand held devices. I personally think all this C-Max being discontinued talk is extremely early to be discussing. I'm all for the return of Pontiac and the with it the surprise announcement of the "Aztek Hybrid". :-)
