I have an Energi. I find the backup sensors useless! It beeps just driving by my trash can yet is silent when backing up to a post I don't want to back into. I'd love to see the post before I hit it! The video showing installing the lockpik looks pretty easy. http://www.coastaletech.com/cmaxlockpick.htm All I'm concerned with is routing the video cable from the camera up to the dash. It's got to go from outside the car to somehow up under the dash. (I'll forgive this C Max a lot of shortcomings. I'm almost up to 90,000 miles and it still looks and drives like new and has needed no repairs, just service and tires and an occasional tank of gas for trips.)

Why is it so important to have the camera on when moving? What reason can there be?

Coastal tech has a video showing how it is done, how to easily take apart the dashboard trim, plug in their harness, etc. So, as I understand it, I need to buy a loooong video cable and a camera that replaces the license plate light? http://www.coastaletech.com/cmaxlockpick.htm
