  1. Regardless, enjoy it. I'm really glad I got mine. I'm averaging over 42 MPG in the car, mixed usage.
  2. I would be very, very wary buying from a rental agency. Take the vehicle to a mechanic and have them look it over. My car's tires had never been rotated, so I ended up need 4 new tires. I also have a sinking suspicion that when I get my engine oil and engine air filters swapped out, I'm not going to like what I see.
  3. Well, here's the thing about the cargo capacity on the C-max. With the rear seats up, you don't have a ton. My old Prius actually held more. With the seats down, there's a lot of space. I love mine. We have a RAV-4, as well, for hauling larger stuff. The C-Max is a very comfortable car. Great ride.
  4. I actually got flipped off by a Prius driver the other day. It was rather amusing. I'm going for a vanity plate - PRSKLR
  5. I'm hoping the Ford reps can pipe up about it. I've had a few other issues with the Ford dealer here.
  6. Same here. Open recall and they won't touch it unless the airbag light comes on. Columbus, GA.
  7. It's been covered, but I'll reiterate, that the electronic rating comes from people being frustrated with My Ford Touch. IMHO, the system is not half bad. You need to take the time to use it. Honestly, the EnTune system in my wife's 2015 RAV is horrible. It's buggy, slow and doesn't work. The My Ford Touch system has its quirks, but it picks up my phone every time I start the car, and the system is intuitive, for me at least. I have a used 2013 Ford C-Max SEL. No issues with the battery.
  8. Well, cause for mine found. Turns out the tires had not been properly rotated. I called the dealership I bought the car from out on this, they gave me four new tires. No noise.
  9. Georgia winter and I'm averaging around 41 MPG, mixed driving. I absolutely love my C-Max. Welcome to the club!
  10. Good grief, please keep us posted. Who knows, next they'll say it's the headlights...
  11. Jenie, I appreciate the insight, truly. Please keep us posted. The noise abated, oddly enough. The road noise that's left is from the tires, which is minimal. I'm sorry it's been such a process to deal with the repair. It's never ideal when any business does not want to listen to their customers. I would be irritated beyond belief.

    Hi!

My wife just got a 2015 RAV 4. Her 2000 Avalon was about to kick the bucket. We were looking at other Toyota hybrids, but we needed the utility. Luckily, the C-Max is all mine. She'll drive it from time to time, but it's mine.
  13. Thanks for posting. I saw that, and that's the main reason I was ok with the purchase. Oddly enough, it hasn't come back.

    Hi!

Hi all! my name is Saul. I'm a Prius owner (2012 II) that is trading it in for a used Ford C-Max. The dealership let me take it home last night for a test drive. I have to say, I'm truly excited about this car. The Prius, while a decent commuter, is lacking in the creature comforts department. I know I'll be sacrificing some gas mileage, but I'm ok with that for a car that has better handling and pick-up. I was originally looking at the Prius V, but it just costs too much for what you get. Ford seemst o have really cleaned up their acts as far as reliability goes. I'll post more pics after I finalize the deal, and after the dealer details the car.
  15. I appreicate the responses. It bothered my wife, too, but the overall road noise is still better than what I hear in my Prius. Makes the trade in worth it to me. It's something I can live with. Honestly, I love the car. I've been driving the he** out of it since taking it home. Driving non-conservatively I'm getting 40 MPG. If I try to watch my MPG, I can get 44-46.
  16. Sadly, they don't. There's a 2014 local that I can try to take for a spin. Honestly, I can live with the noise. It only occurs, it seems, at a very specific RPM and speed range. I'm going to have the dealership examine the fuses, etc, before I commit to anything anyway.
  17. I took a 2013 Ford C-Max SEL home for a test drive overnight, and when I was driving the car on the highway, at 65-70 MPH, I noticed the same droining/whining noise. It's very cold here right now, in the 20s. I'm wondering if it can be attributed to the weather...car is just out of the 3/36 warranty, which sucks for me. I'm debating not purchasing the car, but I love everything else about it. I'm replacing a 2012 Prius.
