I for one bought my Ford C-max because it was a hybrid yes but, my second reason was that it was built here state side. So for me the point about advertised MPG is moot. I still could not get just over 600 miles per tank full in a Focus.

Thanks for the information. I think I will try the Nos racing version when I get my car back from dealer. Did you notice any smoke or smell from tail pipe or any indication of cleaning additives?

Yesterday was Friday and I got a phone call from the dealer. The fuel pump that they had ordered from an "aftermarket" source was not available and they would have to order a genuine Ford part. I asked why they would go aftermarket in the first place and his reply was price.

Thank you I will ask for them. They said that af r error they changed plugs they got a fuel pump code. They are changing the fuel pump at a price of $543.76

Word from dealer today was that if the engine is not firing correctly it will not allow the car to start ie. Stop Safely Now light. With the milage on the car they are going after the spark plugs.

No word yet from dealer. I will keep you posted on progress

Having the C-max for just a little over two years an having put 112,000 miles on it Kelly blue book places a value of just under $9,000.00. I do not think that I am really concerned about resale. That being said my trusty side kick has fallen ill. She has been at the dealer for a week and still no end to the problem in sight. This has been the only major issue so far with my C-max. At first they said it my be the HVB but have receded that diagnosis. It was kind of a shock to think about putting that much money into a car that was not yet full paid off.

Glad to hear that it all turned out for the better. We have a lot of deer here in Pennsylvania. I have read that if you drive a road that is known for deer to cross that the blinking of your hazard lights spooks them the other way.

When the SSN light came on the car went to limb mode for seconds then died. After restart the car went about one and a half miles and lost everythinglasses as soon as the light came on. The SSN light has been on with every key turn ever since with no ICE or EV. The dealer is trying to figure out how to get the hybrid battery recharged as it sits. On the trickle charger overnight the original battery only got to 11.2 volts. With a snap-on battery load tester that I have the battery fell flat (4.5volt) no other warning lights on in the dash.

Thanks for the replies, I have had a bad week with trying to find a ride and jockeying the children back and forth between home and school. After the car went into Stop Safely mode I had turned it off. Then I turned it back on to see if I could get the car off the road as it was blocking traffic. As I turned the key the ICE motor kicked in and no buzzer. I went from park to drive and it seemed fine for a mile and a half then the SNN light and buzzer came back on I noticed as I was rolling to a stop that my hybrid battery was low but regeneration was happening at this low speed. At this stop I was blocking traffic a little less but, still getting the evil eye from passers-by. With an intersection a few feet from me I put the car in neutral and pushed into the turning lane and waited for a free space (no light)

I have a late 2013 C-max with just over 112,000 miles on it. The other day the Stop Safety Now light came on and I had to tow the C-max home for the first time. Can anyone give causes for that light to come on? I have been looking this issue up but, thought that I would ask here as well. Thanks

At a 112,000 miles on my 2013 c-max I have had my first problem. I will report more whenews I pin point the problem the stop safety now light.

Was told by a passerby that right brake lighe was out. I found out that the marker was not working as well. Replaced bulk but, I have no power to that side. Left side working well. Anyone experience this? Thanks
