  1. Our 2013 has 48,000 miles and last week the engine light was flashing and as I was driving home it started to shudder. By the time I got home the light was on steady. The next morning we had it towed to the dealer. Their diagnostic said it was a failed fuel injector. They replaced it and the car has been great. Until today. The engine light started flashing again so it’s going back in tomorrow. Hope it’s not a bigger problem. We absolutely love this car—the mileage, the power and the comfort are all great. Luckily we bought the extended warranty so we’re pretty well covered in that respect.

  3. Our C-max has done 50,000 miles. On Saturday, I noticed a slight 'shuddering' from somewhere under the engine during the first 10 minutes of driving. The engine light has been on for unrelated issues (restraint module and GPS) but it started flashing. After 10 minutes everything was normal and the problem hasn't returned.

I'm taking it in to the dealer on Thursday, but has anyone else noticed a similar problem? The shuddering seemed to only happen when the ICE englne was running.

  5. yes both my husband and i notice a difference in mileage. we've had our car since December 2012 and do mostly city driving. initially we got 44ish in the city and less on the highway. now it's the complete opposite--we struggle to get 38 city and get 42-44 highway. it's frustrating; nothing else has changed, just the recalls. i feel the algorithm has changed to favor highway driving since most people seem to have complained about that early on. would love our old city mileage back.

  6. had this done at the dealer yesterday--Manhattan Ford in NYC. they did indeed have some trouble tnstalling, but they prevailed. it seems to have alleviated the problem. brought it to them because sync stopped using the phonebook and would just dial "dot com". didn't believe there would be a fix but thought I'd give it a shot. I can again make a call using the paddle. yay! it does, however, seem slow to respond. but for those basic sync users with issues, I'd recommend showing this to yr dealer. our dealer knew nothing of it before they dealt with my problem. I'm so glad they persevered.

what % tint do you have in the 3M crystalline and what do you think of it? I live in New York and we have a very restrictive tint law--70% visibility. it looks like nothing and no one really offers it except 3M. but I'm hoping it offers enough heat rejection at that level to help keep the car cooler. I don't know anyone else who has it. most people here chance it and get darker tint, but I don't like that idea. it's a chunk of money so don't want to do it if there's no payoff.

Interesting Pomtrey. My guys said they had to order some special piece of diagnostic equipment. That was over 2 weeks ago. Finally had to call to ask them what was up. I'm losing my smiley face.

we had our new compressor installed on Wednesday and the a/c works like it was always meant to. your symptoms were exactly the same as ours so I'm sure it's the same problem. can't believe you have to wait so long.

and for those talking abt compressor noise, ours is quiet as can be. and there's no vibration. maybe it's an adjustment.

    we are so happy!!

  9. we just had the same problem on Thursday. turned the a/c on for the first time and nothing but warm air came out. tried every kind of adjustment we could think of. made an appointment with the dealer for 8am Friday morning. the upshot is that they're ordering a new compressor that will be installed next week. not happy with the problem but very pleased with the dealer response. they offered us a rental but we opted to take the car and return it Wednesday. we just love our Gracie!!!
