  1. we live in brooklyn and have had our car since dec. 3. have never seen another CMax anywhere--and i really look! so imagine my surprise and joy when i finally saw one on rt. 80 in PA on a trip to visit family!!! got so excited, honking the horn, waving, etc. sad when I got no response. i think the poor driver thought i was some road rage person honkin cause he passed me. oh well. i guess it wasn't anyone from this forum!!
  2. i live in Brooklyn and would be glad to do an online survey. love Montreal and wd love to go there again but not in the cards right now.
  3. great idea. I'm using the ford mats too; hopin Home Depot might hv a stair tread. think I'll go to the furthest one so i can give Gracie some miles!!
  4. ah but we don't have the keyless system. i don't lock the car when it's in the garage but press the fob anyway when i'm going to take it out just so i can see lights which let's me know the battery's not dead. but the car is always locked when we go anywhere. livin in Brooklyn--can't leave temptation!!
  5. for the 2 dead batteries we had in December, ford assistance used the ports under the hood and our car started right up. we now own a jump starter (fingers crossed, knock on wood, etc. we haven't had to use it). Gracie is an SE 201A with just 1300 miles since dec. 3; probably had less than 100 mis. the first time and maybe 700 the second time. i hold my breath every time i go to the garage til i see i click the fob and see lights. then it's off we go. love her!!!
  6. looking for that too. i don't understand the ones that don't cover the edge; seems like insufficient coverage to me. still considering the clear one from ford, but it doesn't look rugged enough.
  7. yes it would be great to block him since it's just the same boring post over and over again. no response. no desire to improve anything. just takin up time and space.
  8. how did you get the intro tech for the cmax? when i went to their site the cmax wasn't listed. looks like a great shade.
  9. OMG--thank you!!! it's been driving me crazy the past few days! it is indeed too painful to use the full site on the phone and that is how i most often use it. can't wait for it to be back.
  10. i get so jealous when I see power folding mirrors!! our garage is very narrow so every in and out requires folding and unfolding. not terrible, except those days when i forget to unfold and don't realize it til I'm on the road! then it's arrgghhhhh!
  11. it's amazing how many errands i have to run now!! any excuse to drive!
  12. we hv an SE and the seats have been incredibly comfortable from day one.
  13. ease of getting in and out of the car was important to me. our last car was a 1985(!) olds and i would have to almost fall into it and crawl out, hitting my head on the doorjamb both ways. i'm 5'4" and just kind of slip in and out of this car with no struggle and no head hitting. i love this car!! it's so easy and so much fun to drive. i would recommend it to anyone, and this in spite of the fact that we've had 2 dead battery issues. waiting for that software update!
  14. a battery software update?! can't wait to see what that does.
  15. wab--where are you that you see so many of our cars? so jealous! i live in Brooklyn and we've had ours since dec. 3 and have never seen another. anywhere. and I wonder how they get sold since there is virtually no advertising, especially compared to other ford cars. must be the good word of mouth!! absolutely LOVE our little Gracie. can't wait to see more!
  16. yes, I so wish there were more available options for the right screen. I've grown tired of the leaves. such a waste.
  17. our gray c(max) is Gracie!! lovin this car; such a joy to drive!!
  18. wow!! that is big news!! we've had dead batteries twice and now travel with a charger. hope the wiring/module is the answer for all and we can be free of this worry. thanks for persevering and posting.
  19. lovin the auto geek site! the cloths are interesting, as is the dry wash spray. lookin at some options now. if only it wd get warm!
  20. thanks for all the input on the car washing. just want to take the best care i can.
  21. and do u remove the antenna before driving thru?
  22. so jealous of all of you who can wash and wax yr own car. we live in brooklyn and really don't have anywhere to do that. the options, as i see them, are either a "hand wash" for $40-$50 or one of the drive thru car washes. i am afraid to do the drive thru cause of the damage it might do to the paint job. and can't really afford the hand wash as much as needed. our Gracie is in need of a bath!! any ideas? any opinions on the drive thrus?? am I being too cautious? love love our little gray c-max!
  23. another cmax in Brooklyn!!! hooray!! we've had our sterling gray 201A since dec. 3 and have seen no others. anywhere. we are in the quiet part of williamsburg--where are you? i love this car. except for a couple of glitches with the battery, it's been a dream--practically drives itself. can't wait for the warm weather to see about the mileage. I'm happy now but expect that it will improve. welcome to the forum.
