Hi back Mikey, and welcome! Mine took about 6 weeks when I ordered in October. Some seem to be taking longer, but maybe your dealer has some insight into production schedules. I hope he's right. In the meantime, you came to the right place to be ready to hit the ground runnin' (in EV Mode, of course) as soon as your new C-MAX arrives. Have fun reading, and if you don't see the answer, don't be afraid to ask. In my opinion, the only dumb question is the one you *don't* ask. So fire away. You're right about there being a lot of smart folks on here. I've learned so much from them. Glad to have you here....and maybe yours will be here in time for the summer event being planned in Michigan!

between *gallons used* in your Summary and gallons bought at the pump? Example: At my last fill up, car said I had used 8.99 gal. but the pump said I bought 9.35 gal. Dang! I never paid any attention to this stuff before! What's happened to me?

Rachel, you have waaaaaay more patience than I have. How far away is this dealer? I'd be sittin' on their doorstep when they open, hand out, waiting for those papers! Is this the same dealer you have to go to for service?

Well, I completed the survey. My issues have been few, thankfully, and have been more of the oddball variety......the SYNC/Droid/Bluetooth headset thing, that's still not resolved, even with a new earbud. The icicle in front of the sensor setting off the proximity alarm, and today the handsfree lift gate wouldn't work at all, and the doors wouldn't unlock by touch. But I relayed them as best as I could and also listed all the things I love about the car, which far out weigh the others, which I'm sure will be resolved over time. Now, gimme one of those gift cards please :drool:

Has anyone ever done this? At the dealership last night, the IT/SYNC specialist told me it could be done....something about a link to *send to* at the top and then choose Droid or iPhone, and then type in your phone #. Supposedly the next time you are in the car, SYNC will upload the map from your phone. It sounded so simple that I didn't take notes (head slap!) I'm working with 2 versions of Google Maps.......one I created just for grins and one called gmap-pedometer, which my daughter's running coach uses to create each Saturday's running course. I thought it would be cool to have the course on my GPS. But I can't find the *send to* thingy he was talking about. I see where you can send it by email, but not to the phone.

Hi and welcome RetiredTraveler! There is a great *search* box up at the top right. You can search individual forums, or you can search the whole thing at once. If you don't find the answer, start a new topic and ask it here. Everyone is very helpful and knowledgeable. We all pretty much agree that the index in the owner's manual is......how do I say this politely?........not the best. I've had mine for 2 months and I'm still learning new stuff...sure I will be for a while. Have fun! Adair

Hi Gina, and welcome! In my case, I ordered the remote start and paid for it with the rest of the car, but it was a dealer add-on after I got my car. The remote start for the C-Max wasn't available in November. But it is still covered by the bumper to bumper warranty. Now, my car was built in November, and the remote start was added in early January. So if your car was built after January it may already come with the remote start. I have the keyless entry too, with the fob and all, and another small fob for the remote start. There have been a couple of brutally cold days where I really appreciated having it. A note about dealers......I'm still educating mine, by sending him links to this forum :happy feet: So it sounds like you have found one and are doing a dealer trade. Wonderful! Because it seems that the wait times for ordering are getting longer.

I was good for about the first week. And mine only took 6 weeks from order to delivery. I don't know how you've done it. Yes, this was my first, to build online exactly the way I wanted it, change, add, and delete options until I got it just right. Several times I was sorely tempted to cave and just take the closest thing I could find within 300 miles, but my husband convinced me to be patient and wait it out. I'm so glad I did. You are gonna be soooooooooooo happy, Rachel!

Welcome DesmoBardy! The best car I ever owned (til now, I'm sure), was built on my birthday in 2001...........it even said so on the door sticker! I'm sure it's a good omen in your case too. Happy Birthday early, and we can't wait to hear about your adventures with your new C-Max!

Congrats to both of you! The car is definitely worth the wait, and especially to get exactly what you want. And by the time yours arrive, you'll be experts at driving a hybrid, thanks to all the knowledge available on this forum. You will really like the drive,the technology, and the MPG!!

Someone (jus-a-cmax?) posted that someone renting a C-Max got 40+mpg. Any info on what car rental company that was? There is a poster on the Ford C-Max FB page who wants to rent one before buying. I said I would check......

ahhhhh Jus, my friend..........I totally agree that I need to move somewhere warmer. I was born and raised in the South US, but have lived all over, GA to AZ to MN to MI, and I know where my heart beats strongest....in warmer climates! Love CA, fools and all. Our oldest daughter and son-in-law lived in MdR and we had some wonderful visits out there. My old *boss* lives in Santa Barbara now (which is a West Coast Ann Arbor.) Have friends in SF and Ft. Bragg. But I'll probably end up in the FL Keys, or Ft. Desoto Island, or.......... :headscratch:

timf, We saw several Energis but didn't see one hybrid. And when we asked one of the reps, they said there were none. I'm beginning to see more on the roads too, but still not a lot. BUT, I live in a small town.
