  1. Here is my result on the second tank after the computer upgrade. Had a higher mpg at 51.7 but was before the reprogramming and I did not save a picture of the screen.
  2. With 9700 miles on the C-Max, my average lifetime indicated MPG is 45.56 and actual MPG is 43.77.
  3. [ This is my new personal best for miles and mpg. Put in 13.11 gallons for an actual mpg of 49.427. Was doing a lot of local driving due to recovery from rotator cuff surgery. Did not use AC due to pleasant temperatures. Still seeing just under 5% error on fuel used which give a higher indicated mpg than actual. Had the latest PCM and MFT update installed today, so will see how that effects my results in the future.
  4. It only took 14 fill ups to make 600 miles on one tank. Was on fumes. Mileage to empty was zero and the gas gage showed a red line under the E indicator. Put in 13.22 gallons so I was cutting it close. Indicated gallons used was 12.48 gallons. I wish Ford would fix the gallons used. I range 3 to 7% error when I fill up. Now after reading about 700+ miles on a tankful, I feel so inadequate. I guess a new goal to shoot for.
  5. May I chime in on the difference between indicated gallons used vs. actual when filling up. I have 5600 miles on my CMax and have kept a spreadsheet on all the info provided by the computer. I have seen that my fill-ups have to add from 3 to 7.5% more fuel than the indicated gallons on the trip screen that I reset at every fill-up. Currently it is averaging a 4.6% error, so indicated my lifetime 44.02 mpg is actually 42.11 mpg. Or to get 47 mpg I would have to have indicated 49.26 mpg. I think others have complained about the error and don't know if Ford could or would do anything about. Bottom line is I started at 40 mpg and have been just over 44 on my last two fill-ups. Next goal 45.
  6. Here are my numbers for the first 2500 miles. I can confirm that 4.5 to 5 % gallon error leads to the about the same MPG error where the indicated mileage is always higher than actual. Wife has an 09 FEH and its indicated vs actual is off about the same. There is no long trip in these numbers. Big jump in mileage for that last fill may partially be due to the warmer weather in the Sandhills area of NC. Turned colder after that last fillup and the indicated MPG is creeping down. 7. Just picked up my new C-Max last Friday and the first thing I got it polished up with some products from Zaino. Z-2 covered with Z-CS topped with Z-6. Impressed the salesman who tried to sell the $500 eco coating. As for setting up the screens, once I got to pushing the buttons, I figured out the logic on how the menus worked and I got the info on the screens I wanted. Interfacing with Miss SYNC has not gone as well. I have to lose the Yankee accent and start speaking Southern to it? As for the ride, I find it very nice and quiet, with good acceleration and handling. I have not noticed the issue some people have complained about when stopping and the not-so-smooth transition from regen to hydraulic brakes. Then again I have been driving gently. Average mpg indices the high 30's but I won't be tracking it till 1000 miles. My wife's FEH took a while to loosen up before getting the advertised mileage and now we exceed original mileage numbers. Well have to go and to throw the clubs in the back and hit the links.
