  1. :congrats: ChuckJr ! Never to late to join the 600 mile tank party ! ................& many more.
  2. At least that is what it appears: 9 - 2015s by my count 'In Inventory' at this dealership, and another 10 within reach of the dealership. (and another half dozen + NRGs) Still a few 2014s, but looks like a normal turn-around to the 2015s here. http://www.inventory.ford.com/dealer/Ford-of-Kirkland-04805/dealerLot?branding=1&lang=en&zipcode=98117&model=C-MAX&year=2015;2014&altleadsource=bp&segment=Car&modeltrim=C-MAX_F49-HYBRIDSEL&return=Complete#vin=vin1FADP5BU1FL100356 (Selling like crazy around here ?) Nick
  3. At least half a dozen C-Maxes in our immediate neighborhood in NW Seattle (three within two blocks). Here is one killer combo a mile from us; a dream short trip commuter (C-Max Energi) & a dream weekender (VW Eurovan Weekender). We, like most. opted for the versatility of the C-Max Hybrid instead; for more cargo room, lighter weight, and a 'simpler', more equally utilized split power system - with longer trip lengths in mind. Nick

    Killer combo; Commuter & Weekender.
  5. Complimenti Taylor ! That looks great for the money - very creative, resourceful & thorough !!! Lexi seems to like it too; she looks pretty happy & restful there. Glad you shared this to inspire others. (Hi there Lexi) Nick
  6. 70 MPG Loops - ayakabaya :drop: .
  7. Congrats Kunari, you found the right one ! The C-Max Energi is a great vehicle if you can make the space work. Fab for around town and shorter commuting. We love the Energi here on the Hybrid Forum as well as our leaner Hybrid models. (Always a little plug-in envy here) Be sure to check out the Energi Forum as well. Enjoy the sweet ride, Nick
  8. And the C-Max Energi knocks off the Fusion Energi for number 2 - yippee ;). Combined they are up to 39.2 % plug-in market share for the month & hopefully climbing. http://www.hybridcars.com/september-2014-dashboard/ (Go 2015 C-Max with refreshed/more/some/any advertising)
  9. I think it is safe to say we are all winners ! I expect to have our new 2014 C-Max Energi prize arriving any day now - can't wait. :happy feet:
  10. :redcard: Hey, not that nasty map, it's just not fair; we're getting hosed out here and up there !!! Ahhh, that's alright, we have an MPG machine at < 8 cents a mile, our C-Max. :sing_rain: ! ((Filled up the work rig today - 900 800 700 600 500 400 300 282 miles, 20.57 gallons (eeeeeouch), $76.72 :kookie: 27 cents a mile - still a fair amount less than a couple months ago; I'm not complaining))
  11. Good reminder Kelleytoons, always good to maintain appropriate tire pressure. We are sticking with 45 psi cold for now - comfortable & efficient. and BTW, you will find 700 mile tanks require no mods or super techniques to achieve - just careful, safe & sane driving ("Common Sense Driving" as you so appropriately coined) :). If your routes are predominantly urban/suburban arterial or rural roads 700 is like falling off a log (for you at least given the opportunity). Scuba leads the way for you on that in Florida. Unfortunately for us, we are on the freeway most of our miles (roughly 70%); so no 700s yet (but we are still 'breaking the car in'). EV when you can, ICE when you must, and never pass up free float/free HVB charge miles, Nick
  12. Great car, beautiful color, the right choice by far - time to do some surfing !!! (as MomsHugs says - :skateboard: :victory: ) Congrats Konig Wolf !
  13. I don't know if it really 'works', but I love that vernacular - Surfing in our C-Max ! (Brrrr, time to book our flight to the California beaches, oh that is right, we already have :skateboard:  :skateboard: )
  14. OK, let me be the first to guess: The EV land speed record http://gas2.org/2014/09/26/byu-sets-ev-land-speed-record/ or might it be ..............................the .......................(Edit) Ford coffee mug you got for Christmas. 900 Mile Tank barrier. A big Congrats Jus from Nick & Karin !!! (Thought you might be brewing trouble)
  15. Thanks Scuba for following up and updating us. Any more info in the future would be appreciated as well. Thanks again, Nick (Edit: Does the valet smoke?)
  16. +1 Nvstig8tr. You have my vote for great photos of a good looking product. Nick
  17. +1 (for us the 'feathering' is about letting up on the pedal and dropping out of ICE, & braking gently)
  18. Any further thoughts on this wab, or anyone else who has done this hood seal? Worth the effort? Nick

  22. Even though we have light hearted 'good humor' with this, it is indeed a problem & headache for someone. Hope you are able to commiserate Scuba with the unfortunate owner. In addition, it would be good to follow this up with anything else you might learn from the incident. I would be curious to know more details, did the sprinkler system in the garage put it out?, was it just the front half?, was it unrelated to the HVB? Thankfully no one was hurt, and the building did not suffer it would appear. I think I would want the vehicle out of the garage asap, and worry just a little about re-ignition. Nick
  23. We will indeed have to stop by to check out the new digs, and all of the new plantings. Our only vacation plans at the moment are jetting off for a week to Sunny CA in Nov. Have to tell you about our border crossing on the PM side. Nick (& his manager). Speaking of scheduled maintenance. Had a visit to the dealer planned when Grouper 'blew a gasket', tech that is; got the infamous 'blank screen', hmmm, was it the Hawaiian music or the Chinese Erhu - neither it turns out, they diagnosed a dead screen. They ordered a new screen, called me two days later and viola, new screen - a 45 minute service for a new screen. Kudos to Pierre Service Department for super service & kudos to Ford for getting the part to Seattle in less than 48 hours. It may have actually been 24 hours, because I lost a couple calls with a dead cell phone. ((Had another blank screen the other day - forgot my key. ))
  24. Congrats Marc! Looks like you made it the tried & true way - 50+ % EV miles. That is certainly our key to success here in hilly Puget Sound.
  25. Laurel, Tip is very, very much a 'looker', and now with that limited edition color, a collectors item. Those will go for a premium in Seattle very soon - I think Ford discontinued that color too soon, but they have fashion experts making that call. (((Yes the XC90 is a bit dreamy too, rode in one a few months back. A not so dreamy, but MPG formidable is the Diesel BluTec 250 from that other brand - definitely not a looker, but very road worthy and very good MPG. Both way too much money and low tech, the crazy things run constantly, very annoying))) Nick (We waved to you crossing the border at Aldergrove our last trip to paradise.) PS Quit hitting pedestrians - just kidding.
