I had my 2015 CMax SEL in for service recently (50K service--at 42K miles). I was surprised to be told that the lower front suspension control arm bushings were cracked--and the whole control arm would need to be replaced (plus alignment) for $1500. Here are the photos--you can see a few little cracks, but I'm not clear what they mean. Has anyone else run across this?

I have a 2015 C-Max Hybrid, coming up for its 40,000-mile service. I've been taking it in once a year to a place (The Garage) here in San Francisco, for oil/filters/not much else, and they've been reasonably priced. I went on their website and found they now use RepairPal to give cost estimates--and I was surprised that they 40K service came in at c. $800. As far as I know, nothing special goes on at 40K. Now, I do need to replace the 12V battery (it has the original), but that's not included in the $800--it's an extra $275 or so, which sounds about right. What's a reasonable routine 40K maintenance service cost?

I'll check with her on her shutdown drill--it's a push button start. But she's had it for three years, so not clear why she'd have trouble now. I'll post results just to clarify the problem ....
Thanks!

I'm posting for my sister, who has a 2017 C-Max Hybrid Titanium (I have a 2015...). She's begun having trouble turning the car off. The EV stays on when she tries to do so, and a warning message appears. She has to go through a drill of turning on, then turning off the car, sometimes for a number of attempts, before it finally will turn off. Has anyone run across this problem?

My quote was not from a dealer--but costs are probably higher here in the SF Bay Area. I do trust the workmanship of this garage, though. Are you getting this done right away?
