  1. I have a 2015 C-Max Hybrid, coming up for its 40,000-mile service. I've been taking it in once a year to a place (The Garage) here in San Francisco, for oil/filters/not much else, and they've been reasonably priced. I went on their website and found they now use RepairPal to give cost estimates--and I was surprised that they 40K service came in at c. $800. As far as I know, nothing special goes on at 40K. Now, I do need to replace the 12V battery (it has the original), but that's not included in the $800--it's an extra $275 or so, which sounds about right. What's a reasonable routine 40K maintenance service cost?

  2. I'm posting for my sister, who has a 2017 C-Max Hybrid Titanium (I have a 2015...). She's begun having trouble turning the car off. The EV stays on when she tries to do so, and a warning message appears. She has to go through a drill of turning on, then turning off the car, sometimes for a number of attempts, before it finally will turn off. Has anyone run across this problem?
