  1. Did you end up buying it? If so, how did it go? I just bought a 2017 Cmax Energi Titanium and have 7 days to exchange it if I want (bought on Carvana). It seems to have some steering problem though after driving it home. So not sure if I want to keep it or not. It has a limited warranty, but not excited to buy a car and then have to have it fixed.
  2. Hi! I am new here and not a car person. I did search the forum to read all about steering problems in the CMAX. I had a 2017 CMAX Energi delivered to me today and I have 7 days to test drive it and can return it. I don't want to return it, because it only has 55,000 miles on it and is a beautiful Titanium model. But after driving it home today, I noticed the steering seems off. Not like an alignment problem, but kind of? It's hard to explain. But seemed like something was not working correctly. Took too much effort to steer it. I also have a 2016 CMAX hybrid (my teen drives that one) and that car has excellent steering and a smooth ride. After reading about steering issues in this forum I am a little nervous to keep the Energi. I can take it in to my local Ford dealer to have it looked at but they don't have any openings until well after my 7 day return period. Just wondering what I should ask if I take it in or if perhaps this is a sign of larger issues.
  3. Hi! I am new to the forum and wanted to introduce myself. I live in Michigan and have fallen in love with the CMAX. Last fall (2022) our family went through some big medical issues so I sold my 2022 Bronco Sport back to the dealer and walked out with a used CMAX 2016 SEL with 96,000 miles on it. The salesperson was driving it as his demo car and couldn't stop raving about how it's one of the best cars Ford ever made and how Ford made a mistake not making them anymore. I said yes to a CMAX to help save money and to get better gas mileage driving my husband back and forth to the hospital and to and from numerous appointments. I love the car so much! My oldest son who is in college is now driving the 2016 CMAX (his car took a dump this semester). He loves it! A 2017 Ford CMAX Energi with only 54,000 miles is on its way to me this week and I can't wait. I am constantly reading this forum and fangirling over the CMAX, so thought I would join! I am excited to learn more and hopeful the batteries will last as long as possible.
