We have had exactly the same problem, and since the blower requires about 4 hours of labor to get to, this is now costing us 500-900 each of the THREE times it has happened to us. At wit's end. Something about the CMAX makes for a good spot, and we may have to sell the vehicle even though we just bought a long extended warranty.
