New buyers think carefully about what model you order
Joey replied to Laurel's topic in Buying, Order and Leasing
Hi Gina, From my reading the remote start option is not factory installed and is only available after market (at the dealer). The keyless entry/start/tailgate just means you don't have to put a key in the door/ignition to get that thing to happen. Some of the others with these options can probably tell you more though. -
During the TNT coverage of the Laker v Celtic game tonight I counted at least 4 C-Max ads and I stopped paying as much attention during the 3rd quarter. I feel like the southern CA area is getting a lot more, as the lots are now full of C-Max's (sorry to those that are waiting months for ones they ordered.)

I know I pivot on the heel between the two pedals and use my toe/ball of the foot to hit the brake (lever style).
-
That rear one looks like the fit is great. I especially like the fact that it has some raised edges to keep everything on the mat.

My old car had very squishy brakes which I didn't like but I think the C-Max might be overly sensitive. Although I think the position of the pedal itself might be more the problem than the pressure vs braking power. My wife (who drives an older corolla) can't go between the gas and brake on the car without lifting her foot off the ground because the difference in position (forward to back not left to right) is so extreme on new cars. We went around to different dealers to try out different models and discovered this is a newer car thing and not a ford/C-Max thing. The C-Max might have had the greatest position difference, but not by much (compared to the prius V). It is too bad that most cars don't come with adjustable pedals so that people with small feet (my wife) can get more comfortable.

One of the main reasons I chose the C-Max over the Prius V as well.

Nice job! How long did it take you?

Saw a white one (first time I have seen another one) in SD.

Roninsd I went to kearny pearson because they had the model/color I wanted in stock. Ended up getting a very good price thanks to my wife's superior negotiating skills. But I know the stuff they offered later was a ripoff so I wasn't sure if I should go back and negotiate it or just buy online. Anyone have experience with this Alarm activation thing?

Recommended Dealers for Purchasing and Servicing a C-Max
Joey replied to darrelld's topic in Lounge: Off-Topic
Got a great deal at Kearny Pearson Ford in San Diego (talk to Bill) on an SE 201A. No service problems yet, but I will update when I know. -
My SE that I got yesterday as well doesn't work like that. Make the dealer fix it.

I talked to my brother who does Li battery research before buying this car and his opinion was that with the loads it is intended to handle it should be as good as NiMH in terms of stability and safety. Personally I am more worried about a controller problem rather than the battery itself.

Thanks for the information. Very useful.

Hi All, I just got my new C-Max today and am very excited. I was obviously offered the opportunity to purchase these extras at "great" prices. I declined them all with the option to buy them all at the same price for a while after purchase. Do you guys think any of these things are worth it. My wife is convinced the alarm for $295 that is "shock sensitive" (supposed to detect 10lbs of pressure applied to the car while locked) is worth purchasing, but I am wary. Also I noticed that my car isn't eligible for the online purchase of these plans so I can't check pricing. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Roninsd which dealer in SD did you go to? I am thinking of purchasing here and was just wondering how your experience was?
