Remote start extender installation

Dealer says the antenna extender only works with the dealer installed remote start, not the standard remote start included with our Titanium. Oh well. -
Remote start extender installation

Cool. I think I'll start by requesting a price for the part plus install. More to come... -
Has anyone here installed the Ford part number JS7Z15603A - long range antenna kit for their remote start? We've got a 2017 Titanium which came with remote start as standard but the range is ridiculously short. I found this part number, only $30.00 but nothing on line about installing it in a C Max. I'd be happy to pay the dealer a reasonable charge for the installation but just wondering if anyone here has done this on their own. It's basically a antenna with a long wire that plugs into...something.

Steering wheel cover loose or installed crooked

Stopped in at our dealer, Hudson Ford, and had the service writer take a look. She agreed, something didn't quite look right. They found a "loose spring" and had us on our way in about 15 minutes. -

Test drove 2018 CMAX Hybrid Titanium

We bought a new 2017 Titanium about three weeks ago. A hybrid wasn’t even on our radar but our timing was perfect, what with Ford’s announcement about car production and the cancelation of the C Max. There are big discounts and nice rebates to be had. We have had no problems with the ride height but we traded in a couple of low slung cars on the C Max so we’re probably used to watching for curbs and such. We’re really enjoying the car with our mostly urban driving. We really glad we found a Titanium at an SE price. -
Our 2017, bought just 3 weeks ago, seems to have an issue with the steering wheel cover. The left side sits about 1/4” higher than the right side. If you push down on the left side, it seems to rock as thought it’s not quite seated. Given the there’s a horn switch and airbag in there somewhere, I hesitate to push too hard to try and seat it. I didn’t notice this until today but it could have been that way from day 1. Dealer is half an hour away so I thought I would check in with the experts here first. Thoughts?

We just bought one of the remaining 2017 models, a white gold Titanium, from Hudson Ford in Hudson Wisconsin. If memory serves, they still have a 2017 SE on the lot. Plus a half a dozen low mileage SE loaner cars, all 2017 with 2000-3000 miles each. They appear to have one of the best inventories of any dealer in the Twin Cities right now.
