  1. Went to start my C-Max and the battery was dead. Not even the dome lights came on. Nothing left on. It has auto headlight, auto everything. Jump started the battery, it ran ok and restarted fine. Now it's back to normal. I have just over 1,000 miles. I'm afraid it may happen again. Anyone else have this problem? I'm bringing it to the dealer to have it checked out.
  2. Thanks for your inputs. The chance of me selling in the future to a private party is not likely. So I think the ESP is not for me.
  3. Should I purchase the ESP warranty by Ford? I think that after three years there is a lot of things to go wrong with such a gadget loaded vehicle. I rarely keep a car for more than three years but if I sell it the warranty will give the car more value.
  4. I am willing to wait after the 1,000 mile break in recommended by the adminstrator's post. I am currently getting about 35 mpg. No matter how much I baby the throttle on the freeway I can't get a constant reading near 40 mpg. But in Orange County, CA the traffic here is tough. A lot of stop and go, and when you go, you better haul ass or you'll get a honk or middle finger. I would rather see a rating with worse/best case senario. Like, the worst case you'll get 32 mpg and you can max out maybe 52 mpg.
