  1. Hi Has anyone been able to retrofit ford pass to their 2013+ ford cmax SEL? I am trying to figure out if the cables would be existing like in the enegi models who have this feature or would I have to wire it all myself? If I need to wire it myself, how would I go about doing this? Any advice would be appreciated.
  2. Thanx for the feedback. I have made the decision to upgrade to a ford escape antenna and cables which has all the needed modules. I will then wire them through the drivers side pillars and then connect them up under the dash somehow with the splitter. Not sure if this would be the easiest way to route the wires without having to tear up the entire inside of the car. On a side note, I had a look at the 2018 ford cmax and it seems like they also make use of the GPSM module and the antenna does not carry any GPS signal like in the escape of the same year, so I am not sure how ford got the GPSM module wired into the sync 3 system.
  3. Hi Guys Is it possible to install a sync 3 module but use the factory GPS in a 2013 C-MAX? I have done some research and it seems like the GPS navigation module is located in the roof antenna as a single unit. If this is not true and I install a antenna from a 2018 escape with the GPS splitter/filter, would this work? I would like to make use of the factory antenna for better reception instead of a 3rd party GPS which seems to be prone to issues.
  4. So I have a few items missing: 1) backseat head rests 2) cargo area blind 3) compressor located in the floor with tire sealant As for rust, it is still in good nick. No major rust, although there is some surface rust on the under carrage and paint peel at the back wheel arches. Some paint chips which have started rusting, but I will try and do a spray job on it. As for issues, the major one I am having is the backup camera. Dealers are asking $500+ in Canada jist for the camera. Do you perhaps know if the dorman camera is an OEM one? Who makes the ford backup camera's and what other cars might use the same one as in my cmax? Often car manufacturers share hardware, but not sure who will share the ax camera? Current KM are at 160 000, so roughly 100 000 miles if not mistaken. Seems like oil was recently changes which is good. At times when the gas engine starts, is seems like it has a slight miss fire, but not sure as the cars might just be like that?
  5. Hi Guys I seem to have a backup camera issue on my 2013 ford CMAX SEL. I have been doing tons of reading, but nothing has helped. By luck, the camera worked once at random, but the image was upside down and has refused to go on again. I get the constant error to go see a dealer. I have checked fuses F28, 27,26. F29 is missing. I removed trimmings from the rear hatch to expose the camera. All the wires looked ok, except for a connection with an exposed silved wire which did not make sense. Errors I get are: B115E - 08 camera module U0321 - 00 rain sensing module C1001 - 01 Vision system camera Can anyone give me any further troubleshooting advice? Guessing perhaps a grounding wire issue? Any advice on ground wires to check? Dealer pricing is insane and would like to troubleshoot and myself. Images attached of findings and DTC codes.
  6. Hi Guys Recently moved to Canada and decided to purchase a used 2013 ford CMAX as a first vehicle..... However, not without some basic issues....
