32k miles on my SEL. Low to mid 40 mpg summer. Mid to upper 30mpg winter. No problems except control buttons on steering wheel one time. Dealer fixed. Love this car.

I should have mentioned that my trip included I-77 through the mountains of West Virginia and Virginia.

I live in northeast Ohio and recently returned ftom a one week trip to the Charleston, SC area. At the beginning of the trip I reset Trip 2. I drove over 2,000 miles. On interstates I drove at the posted speed limits of 65 - 70mph. In SC my driving was about 60% 55mph roads and 40% city driving. Temperatures were upper 40's to upper 60's. When I returned home I checked mileage and I averaged just over 41mpg for the entire trip.

I was originally looking for a small car that would get mid 30 mpg but I wasn't comfortable in small cars. I'm 6'3" tall and I'm never comfortable in my old Corolla. When my knees are aching I'm miserable in the Corolla. I was comfortable in my RAV4 because the seats are higher but it only averaged 23 - 24mpg. The 47mpg rating attracted my attention to the C-Max but several articles that I read said that the C-Max gets much lower mpg than Ford claims. That's when I joined this forum to get some honest information. I looked at the C-Max at the Cleveland Auto Show then took one for a test drive. It was very comfortable to me because I was able to sit way up high. The next thing I did was trade in the RAV4 and bought an SEL. This car is extremely comfortable to me. I've had it less than 2 weeks and my lifetime average is 34.1mpg which is alread 10mpg better than my RAV4, and the average seems to keep creeping higher. On some trips I've had low 40's. I drive almost 60 miles each day to work and back home and if I watch what I'm doing I can get 42mpg and most of the trip to work is highway.

I have the Weathertech digital fits too. They're great keep all snow and water contained.

Ohio
in Great Lakes
I'm located in northern Ohio, Homerville. I took delivery of my C-Max last Wednesday. The dealer had a couple on the lot but had to find one in another part of the state to get the color and model I wanted. I see maybe one a day on the road.

Hello everyone, I joined because I'm seriously considering buy a C-Max some time in the next 30 days. I'm looking to find good, reliable, objective information here.
Have a good day.

I have a 2013 C-Max with over 60,000 miles and I've been completely happy with it. Never had a problem. I know lots of people write to forums just to talk about problems and complain but I'd like to say that this is the best car I ever owned.
