Another data point, I get the unlocks and doesn't lift more often than not. I kick my foot again and it usually opens. I've only had this problem opening the hatch. I can't remember a time when it didn't close when I kicked.

I have the navigation system and there is an option to use the GPS to set the time. It's been a while, but I think the option was on the same screen to set the time. Don't hold me to that. Since I have done this, I haven't had a clock problem. Siggy, not sure that helps you since I don't think your package has naviagation, but I thought I would share for those that do.
