  1. it does seems to rubber band itself quicker than before i think.
  2. Since there's 3 out there: hatch, headliner padding and now the Tranny update iirc. Did your Ford dealership give you a free loaner for the day or tell you to pound sand? I would think this is the minimum they can do since we all have to take personal time out of the day to fix their mistakes. I'm use to it from BMW, Audi etc.
  3. find a new dealer, the first one i went to was incompetent - sad fact is i wasn't surprised.
  4. 24" of slush? i would like to see that, the whole front of the C-Max would be covered.
  5. What Octane rating do you prefer?
  6. just from my limited 6500 miles of hard driving. i don't feel confident in the Michelin Energy tires during wet roads, i've turned aggressively and it slides, the tires are geared more for fuel economy instead of traction - but that's just my opinion. i live in Ohio like you also and this coming winter i am a little nervous, but my company will allow me to have snow specific tires and i usually swap out to winter tires anyways on my personal vehicles - i love blizzaks and X-Ice here's review of the tires and go under Survey, it rates poor in winter: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Michelin&tireModel=Energy+Saver+A%2FS&partnum=25VR7ESAS&vehicleSearch=true&fromCompare1=yes&autoMake=Ford&autoYear=2013&autoModel=C-MAX%20Hybrid&autoModClar=SEL 6.3 5.3 5.7
  7. no mods at all - i am still thinking it could be the GPS module like others that had it replaced?
  8. lighten up dude, i was the OP to help people out on the puddle light install...some people are just too serious :happy feet:
  9. I love Zaino products, yeah it might take a little longer - but the shine and durability IMHO is great if you like that hard-candy like shine like I do. Here it is on my BMW 335i M-Sport in a Black Sapphire Metallic - My C-Max is Sterling Gray so it doesn't pop as much.
  10. my car came with 3.5.1 so no issues and it installed yesterday smoothly too - i was pleasantly surprised
  11. it's neither, all my other cars have Sirius and before that I had the Sirius receiver, it seems like this C-Max is the pickiest. ETA: one of the fixes it said improved vehicle positioning, well it still shows i am off the road last night :drop:
  12. it skips when there's zero obstructions on an open highway/road - my 3 other cars have sirius and before that with no issues except for this C-Max ETA: just installed it and went perfectly and it did take 30 mins, i like the more info on the home screen with Sirius (shows what song) and the Nav looks like it's more of a natural bird's eye view. and then you need to re-plug back your USB back to your computer to "Report" the update - I think Ford should give us free oil changes for all this ;)
  13. Just downloaded it to my USB and will attempt it later today, hopefully it fixes my nav positioning problem like it said it would. Plus my Sirius skips for 1 seconds sometimes. Currently I have 3.5.1 http://support.ford.com/media/syncmyride/intercept.html What’s included in this update? DA5T-14D544-BD Gen2 - V3.6.2 The latest SYNC® update includes all of the improvements from previous updates, plus additional benefits, such as: Information display on the homescreen for HD, Sirius (if equipped), and FM radio sourcesSimplified graphics and improved usabilityEnhanced voice destination entry for SD Card Navigation (if equipped)Improved Navigation vehicle positioning (if equipped)Rear view camera guidelines set to ON by default (if equipped)Updated SYNC/device compatibility informationThe installation of this update will take up to 30 minutes to complete. Be sure to keep your engine running, not in accessory mode, throughout the entire installation process. Turning off your vehicle during the update installation will disrupt the process. Although your vehicle must be in park when you begin the installation process, you may drive your vehicle while the update is downloading to your SYNC system. If your vehicle is equipped with the Intelligent Access with Push Button Start feature, you will need to temporarily disable the Automatic Engine Idle Shutdown (AEIS) component before beginning the installation in order to prevent your vehicle from timing out and shutting off the engine before the software update is complete. To disable this feature, use your steering wheel controls to navigate to the Settings menu on your left-hand Instrument Cluster LCD display. From there, select Vehicle >Auto Engine Off >Off. (If you do not see this setting, there is no need to make any changes before starting the update.) Alternatively, after initiating the installation, you may drive the vehicle during the update process to avoid the engine shutting off. The AEIS will automatically reset to "On" the next time you start your vehicle. Please note: During the update installation, SYNC will temporarily appear to not recognize your mobile phone or media device. This is normal. When your system has been successfully updated, SYNC will display a notification saying, "Installation complete."
  14. i know my ford dealership sucks, switching to a different one and we'll see how it goes. that's the reason on my personal cars like my bmw, audis and mb, i've been spoiled by their professionalism and competence.
  15. i'm looking to upgrade my headlamps to a brighter and bluer bulb...iirc one side is a major PITA to remove. i know there's retrofit aftermarket HID's, but from what i read since ours isn't projector headlights it will look like crap...and surprise why Ford didn't do that, but instead have those stupid 7 color selectable mood lighting.
  16. good to know, i have 3.51 iirc. what fixes are in it? hopefully the Nav and radio is improved.
  17. thank goodness my C-Max is a company owned vehicle. I enjoy my BMWs :) good luck.
  18. i drive regular - i speed, brake late, run the A/C, idle and i don't baby it for MPG.
  19. In reality and a sad fact, you bring it to the dealer - waste half your day and they will tell you they can't duplicate it... :drop:
  20. definitely take it into the dealer. i've had my engine kick on when i start it for a few and then turn off - it does vibrate the car sometimes like my old Prius. was your gearshift lever possibly between gear selections and then it suddenly moved into place?
